"No, I'm just the pizza delivery guy who just got punched in the eyeball. Of course it's me!" Tiberius exclaimed. Gidget couldn't help but feel a little guilty as she heard the old hawk getting back on his feet. Flicking her ear slightly, she bit her lip and asked, "If I may ask, what are you doing in a closet?"
"Playing hide and seek. No one has found me yet. Is Chloe still the seeker?" Tiberius replied back. Gidget then recalled what Chloe had said when she saw her that morning. "I think you're the last one," she informed him. Moving away a tiny bit, she sat down, her back against a wall. She silently prayed that her friend wouldn't start asking questions. Her prayers were not answered sadly as the old hawk asked, "What are you doing in here?"
"Uh... I'm..." Gidget tried to think of an answer. Thinking quietly, she came up with a lie and stated, "I'm looking for something!"
"You're looking for something?" Tiberius questioned, sounding skeptical.
"Yeah."
"What would that be?"
"A... uh... scarf!"
"A scarf in the summer?"
"Yes indeed."
"But you're not looking for it in your apartment?"
"There's no scarves over there."
"Really?"
"Why are you questioning me?"
"Why you lying to me?"
"What? Me, lie? Please..."
"Alright, one more question."
"What?"
"If you're looking for a scarf in a different apartment building in summer, why did you shut the door and not turn on a light?"
"Uh... I didn't think of that..."
"Obviously."
Gidget was thankful that she had not turned on a light. There was no way she was going to admit that she had been crying and she definitely didn't want Tiberius to see that. Sighing quietly, she got up to her paws and spoke softly, "I'll go find a scarf somewhere else."
"Okay, have fun with that Gidget," Tiberius replied, adding, "And don't tell anyone where I'm at, got that?"
"Yeah, don't worry, I won't say a word," Gidget promised as she went to open the door. It wouldn't budge. Confused, she tried again. Nothing. Panicking, she realized that the closet door was locked. Turning around, she couldn't see Tiberius in the dark. Gulping, she reported, "I think we're trapped in here..."
