In September of 2016, my internet best friend died. She died of surgery complications and had made sure to send me a sort of good bye (in case i don't make it message). As a horseback rider, I had an important horse show two weeks after her death. Her goodbye note said:
Don't worry if i don't make it. I'll still be there watching you.
Two weeks later, I was at my horse show, excited and proud. I looked over and saw a young woman about my age, smiling and waving. I blinked and she disappeared. That night, I dreamed of my internet best friend and asked if she'd been at the horse show and she said, "Of course. I couldn't miss it. I promised I'd be there to support you no matter what."
