*Flashback*

"C'mon Lyssa! You'll be fine! We do this all the time!" Grant's best friend, Kenny says trying to convince to go out with him and live my life the way I should've.

"Are you sure?" I say very skeptical of this.

"Of course! Babe, c'mon I'd never out you in harms way." He says grabbing into my hands, pulling them up to his mouth and kiss my knuckles. This action caused me to blush and push my hair behind my ear.

"Fine! I'll do it!" I say giving into the peer pressure. "It's just going to be a simple night at the skate park right?" I ask just to clarify in case I miss something.

"Yes, yes. Of course! I'll have a couple of my friends there, we'll hang there for a little while. Then you and me, will go out and have a great date." Date?

"Kenny, you're a nice guy. But I already told you I have a boyfriend, he's back in England."

"Babe, we all know long distance doesn't work. I bet he's already forgotten about you anyways."

"Believe what you want, but I know Louis and he would never do that." I say defending the one I love.

"I'm only kidding!" He says throwing his arms up in defense. "Anyways, I'm gunna call everyone up and let them know you're coming with me. They'll be super excited to hear that." He says smiling, showing one of his dimples.

I nod not knowing how else to respond, and he disappears to make the call. I don't understand why he couldn't just text them, but I guess it was his decision. While he's away I being to think of my life as soon as I am reunited with Louis, my family, and my friends. I've made a life back in England and I'm so ready to go back.

I'm constantly wondering what everyone is doing.

"Alright, so Stevie is on board with you coming alone. She says it'll be great to have a new face around. You ready to go?" Kenny says walking back to our booth.

"But I though that you were going to call the others?" I ask. The amount of time he was gone was far too short for him to call everyone.

"Don't worry, it's all covered. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the fun night that is planned for you." I nod. "Now, are you ready to leave?"

"Yeah, sure. Let me just tell my Uncle what's going on." I inform him pulling out my phone to text Uncle Mitch.

'Hey Mitch, I'm hanging with some friends tonight. I'll be in a little later than normal, is it okay if my curfew is lifted?'

I send the text and follow Kenny out to his car. It's extremely hot in the California sun durning the middle of July. I have lived in Cali, my whole life and I'm still not used to this heat. I patiently wait for Kenny to unlock my door.

Once he does, I slip into his passengers seat. As he turns on the radio and lyrics to Fancy are blaring out. Apparently this is the song of the summer, but to me it's the song that overplayed a little too much. No hate to Iggy, I like some of her stuff, I just hate when the radio over plays a good song one too many times.
