Dianne's POV:

Joe and I had been in Paris for 3 days now and I had never felt happier in my life. Whilst we were out here, trying french wines and loving the local life, I couldn't help but fall back in love with the blue eyed boy who walked beside me. And fall hard. As Joe walked beside me, it was like what had happened in our past didn't happen. It was as if something had shook him so badly that he decided to live life properly now.

Either way, I'm not complaining. He has been nothing but the perfect gentleman these past few days. He's been funny - polite - kind - sweet - you name it, he's been that this week. Whenever he's like this, it makes me wish that I'd never said no. Makes me wish I could marry him, and that this could have been our honeymoon.

Tonight was going to be special though - Joe said he was taking me out to a properly fancy restaurant. He told me nothing more and nothing less. I gathered from his tone of voice that I was going to have to bring my A game and look stunning.

I wore a tightly fitted red dress, the colour matching my hair almost exactly. It was tight in all the right places and hugged my figure in a flattering way. It was short, but not so short that I was completely giving it all away - so to speak. I matched the dress with black heels and a light throw wrapped round my shoulders. My make up was tasteful and natural, just how Joe said he liked it. I was finishing off my makeup when I heard a knock at the door to our hotel room.

"Joe could you get that?" I called out into the room, where Joe had been lounging about in a towel after his shower, last I checked. I was given no reply and the door was knocked on again.

"Joe?" I questioned walking out of the bathroom to find it empty. I walked over to the door to find a man taller than myself, but not necessarily tall. He had dark hair and wore a stunning blue suit, with polished shoes and a smart burgundy tie.

"My don't you clean up well" he said to me in his charming British accent.

"You know most people would just say that I look nice"

"Well I'm not most people," he said as he lent down slightly and gently pressed his familiar lips onto mine. They were warm and soft, but were taken away all to quickly. "Shall we?" Joe asked as he held out his arm. I linked my arm with his and nodded, allowing the smile on my face to be shown more than clearly.

Joe's POV:

As I linked arms with Dianne, I looked over to her. She wore a stunning red dress and looked the most beautiful that I had ever seen her look. And that was a tough standard to beat, yet she had managed it.

After all that we had been through, I couldn't help but feel like the luckiest guy in the entire world. Not because I had survived what had happened to me, but because I got to survive it all with her by my side.

We spoke about nothing in particular as we walked hand in hand down towards the restaurant. It was a stones throw away from the Eiffel tower, but little did Dianne know that I had managed to pull a few strings and get a surprise for her.

As we got to the restaurant, I looked over to the manager who recognised me from earlier this morning when I spoke to him. The restaurant was beautiful and romantic, but very busy. Filled to the brim with couples such as ourselves. All the men in their suits and the girls in there dresses made the entire place look so classy.

"Joe this place is so nice - I wished I'd dressed up more now." Dianne whispered up to my ear with a cute chuckle.

"Are you kidding me, you're the most gorgeous girl in here by a million miles." I looked down to see Dianne blush. Her cheeks turn the same colour as her hair and dress - matching her entire ensemble.

"Mr Sugg if would like to follow me." The manager who I had spoken to gestured Dianne and I through the tables of the busy restaurant. We continued to dart through people and waiters until we reached a staircase, at the very back of the restaurant. I allowed Dianne to climb first, and followed up closely behind.

The staircase lead up to a balcony with a single table and two chairs laid out. There were candles and flowers laid around giving everything a romantic vibe. The balcony was quiet and secluded - away from prying eyes and from the hustle and bustle of the street level. The balcony itself overlooked the capital. The sun was beginning to set and was illuminating the French capitol.

The entire setting was perfect - it was everything I had hoped it would be and more. It was all that I had wanted to do for the woman I loved. I had stopped looking out onto the view as I sat opposite Dianne. Her eyes were firmly fixed on the beauty she saw before her - but my eyes were firmly fixed on the beauty I saw before my very own eyes.

"Oh my god Joe I've never seen anything as perfect as this before" Dianne said in amazement.

"I couldn't agree more." I said as I looked into her deep hazel eyes that were reflecting the orange hue of the sky.

To say I was in love was an understatement.

I said it the first time I met her, and here I am saying it almost 1 year later.

I'm sat here looking at the most beautiful girl in the world, and I couldn't believe she was mine.
