The men in the photo are actually from DC's CW Arrow tv show. Just to clarify, they are not meant to be who they are in the series, just focus on the outfits.

Lilly's pov:

I hummed contently as I made a loaf of bread for my Mother and me, I smiled as I remembered Loki's surprise last week. I actually got to fly in a space ship back o my house, it was so much fun. I was so grateful for my friend, I wouldn't be who I am without him. I had visited the library three times this past week, two of which I had been alone, the other time, Loki was there with me. But the most exciting thing this week was hearing of a royal celebration that was being held at the palace; there would be music, dancing and fun. If I was lucky, I could probably sneak a look at the festivities.

When at last the bread was cooked and cooled, I made a sandwich for my Mother and myself; as I sat in her room, eating our lunch together I asked her a question, "mother? Have you ever, umm, had feelings for someone that you didn't think liked you in that way?"

"Where is this coming from?" My Mother asked softly.

"It's just, I've met someone, well, I've known him for a year now, but he sees me as a friend, and he's my friend too, my best friend actually.  I - from the first day we met, I sometimes feel nervous being around him, its a good nervous though. I mean, at one time, he's my best friend, and another time, I can feel myself go weak at his touch," I admitted.

Mother smiled, "this is the young man who comes here to pick you up every Tuesday isn't it. What is it that you do, study, is the word I hear. I also hear you talking about training, he's the one who taught you self defence isn't he?" She asked.

"Yes," I admitted.

"Then tell him how you feel darling," Mother replied.

"I can't," I replied and fiddled with my bracelet, "he only sees us as friends."

"Is he married?" Mother asked.

"No," I said.

"Does he have a betrothed?" She questioned.

"No," I replied.

"Has he specifically told you he sees you as only a friend?"

"No," I sighed.

"Then you can not speak for him in this matter," Mother said softly, "he may feel the same way about you and has not told you for the same reason you have remained silent."

As I walked to the palace to study later that day, Mother's words kept repeating in my mind. I discided I would tell Loki how I felt, I just didn't have a clue how, or when was the right time.

I entered the palace courtyard two hours later, and saw Loki and the woman named Sif, were training in an arena. I noticed she looked over at me, so I quickly glanced away and pretended not to see her. She said something to Loki and I inched closer so I could hear their conversation.
