Lilly's pov:

It had been four days since Loki and I had talked about the horrible past in that cold alleyway, and we hadn't discussed it anymore - it was all out and dealt with.

We stayed in a hotel for that night and the next day found a nice apartment and moved my things into it, along with the two of us. It was really nice, it had a white and blue interior colour theme, a living room, kitchen, bathroom, small laundry room and two bedrooms, we stayed in one an converted the other into a study.

Neither of us had any money or a job for that matter, and I was worried until Loki showed me that he could use his magic to conjure money or change the number in my bank account. I felt like it was cheating, but I settled for the fact that we would only do this until I had a stable job.

A few days later, I discided to show Loki around the city and what Midgardians do for fun.

"Lilly, where are we going?" He asked as we made our way out of the apartment complex and onto the busy sidewalk.

"I'm taking you to see everything that I've gotten to love about his city," I replied, "come on."

After a few minutes, Loki stated, "this is so different from Asgard, far too busy and hectic for my liking, I miss the forest."

I smiled, "that's how I felt when I first arrived, but it grew on me, they have a lovely park in the middle of the city with lots of greenery and birds.

"I'd like to see the place," Loki replied, "is it far from here?"

"Not far at all," I answered, "about a ten-minute walk. Let's go shall we?"

He nodded in response, and took my hand in his, giving me a warm smile so I brushed my shoulder against, "what's that for?" I asked.

"Well I want people to know this beautiful woman is called for," he replied with an adorable smirk, "plus, I love holding your hand."

I giggled and tightened my grip, happily walking down New York main street; I loved watching Loki's reaction to everything he saw. Lots of different people, cars, trams and street performers, his reactions were priceless.

"You remind me of myself when I first walked down the main street," I stated after about five minutes of walking in silence, "but a lot more adorable."

Loki laughed, "you're precious Lilly," he responded, "is this the place?"

I looked and saw a wide entrance to central park and nodded, "yep, this is it."

We walked hand in hand down the long path and past a tall water fountain; after a few minutes of silence I spoke, "I lived here for a year before moving to Manhattan, so I got to know the place well. It's beautiful isn't it?"

Loki turned to me, "yes," he replied, "but not as beautiful as you."

I blushed and dropped my gaze and we continued quietly for another ten minutes. Then we came to a deserted park bench under a blossoming tree and discided to sit awhile.

"It's so peaceful here," I said softly, then looked up into Loki's blue eyes, "there's no place I'd rather be than right here, by your side."

Loki slipped his arm around my shoulders and whispered into my ear, "and there's no place I'd rather be than here with you my love."

I smiled, sighed contently and leaned my head on his shoulder, intertwining my fingers with his. About three minutes of silence later I whispered, "I can't believe I've got another chance, I found you again after so long. You dropped off the edge of the bridge and I thought I'd never see you again, - yet here you are right next to me."

I felt Loki shake his head, "Lilly, I marvel at how you can love me so, after everything I've done," he replied softly, "I don't deserve you or your love."

I lifted my head and met his eyes, "yes you do," I stated, "you deserve love more than anyone, since you for so long received none. You mean so much to me, and I will love you no matter what - it wasn't your fault, what happened in Manhattan, it wasn't your fault."

Loki brought his hand up gently and stroked my cheek before placing a kiss on my lips, I responded instantly and tangled my hands in his hair. He was so good looking with long hair and I wondered why he kept it short back on Asgard. A few moments later I reluctantly broke the kiss and snuggled back against him, "I love you," I whispered, "so much."

Loki held me close, "I love you too, my angel."

Later that day went to the shopping centre to get some supplies for the week, Loki was adorable to watch as he looked around at everything. I discided to get some bread, lettuce, ham, cheese, cereal, milk and some oven meals, then I spied my favourite sweet treat in the big display fridges.

"Ooo! We are defiantly getting this!" I squealed opening the door and taking out a tub of Cookies and cream ice cream.

Loki looked at me strangely, "what is it?" He asked.

I laughed, "this is the best treat food Midgard has to offer! We'll have some after dinner tonight."

Loki smiled at my excitement and a comfortable silence followed, suddenly I heard a song play through the shop's speakers and stopped dead in my tracks.

'Some days it's hard to see, if I was a fool or you a thief. Made it through the maze to find my one in a million, and ow you're just a page torn from the story I'm living."

Loki noticed and asked, "are you alright?"

"That's my song," I whispered, "I - I wrote it and could never understand what it meant when I arrived on earth, when I regained my memory I never even though of it. I remember writing it now - and I remember why."

Loki gently placed a hand on my shoulder, "it's probably best we talk about this outside," he suggested.

Still, in a daze, I nodded and pushed the shopping cart to the checkout, Loki followed silently behind. Once I paid for the things we each carried a bag and walked outside the store into the cool evening air. I rested my bag against a wait hight brick wall, climbed up and sat on top of it.

Loki copied me and asked, "what do you mean that song is yours?"

"I mean, when you left, I wrote a song about how I felt. When Thor whipped my memory I still took the song with me, even though I had no idea why I wrote it - but now I do. I gave it to a friend a few years ago, who happened to work in the music industry, she must have got it published," I finished, then grabbed my phone from my pocket and googled, "Dynasty song."

I got up the lyric video and played it, we listened to it in silence.

At the end, Loki turned to me, "you wrote that?" He asked, his voice a mix of awe, sadness and ride.

I nodded and gave him a weak smile, "yeah," I whispered.

To my surprise Loki wrapped me in a hug, "I think I finally understand how you must of feeling," he stated softly, then pulled away, "I'm so sorry I left you, Lilly - so sorry."

"It's ok," I replied, surprising myself with the cheerfulness that accompanied my voice, "it's all forgiven and forgotten."

After a few moments of silence, Loki spoke, "you know, I never really understood how wonderfully songs can portray feelings. They explain things sometimes better than a whole conversation can."

"They do," I replied, then quickly added with a smile, "we should get home - before the ice cream melts."

Loki smiled back at me and helped me down fro the wall, "let's go then."
