Chapter 40

Katie POV

I am officially 20 weeks pregnant! That means I am half way through my pregnancy. I couldn't believe it. The first trimester was so difficult. I was sick all of the time and could barely eat any food. I also was and still am very tired. I sleep a lot but I am feeling so much better. Ross and Rocky are currently on tour for the Driver Era. Liam and I did not join them because of Liam's school schedule. Fortunately, Liam has spring break half way through the tour so we are going to meet up with everyone. I am excited to see everyone especially because no one has seen my tiny bump because I started showing after they went on tour. I also found out the gender and I am going to surprise Ross with that news as well. 

Today, Liam and I were going to fly to Portland to meet up with everyone. I drove to Liam's school to check him out early because we had to drive to the airport. I walked into his school's office to pick him up. Liam came running into the office. 

"Mommy!!! Are we going to go see daddy now?" He asked. 

"We are! Are you excited?" I asked. He nodded his head. 

"Is Liam not coming to school tomorrow?" The receptionist asked.

"No, we are flying to see his dad in Portland tonight." I said. 

"Okay. Have fun!" She said. I nodded and we left the school. 

"Mommy, can I call daddy?" He asked.

"He's on an airplane right now. How about we call him in a little while." I said as I drove out of the parking lot.

Liam and I were finally on the plane. Ross had called us as we were waiting to board our plane and said they were delayed by an hour and was boarding his flight soon. Because he was delayed, Liam and I were going to arrive in Portland first.

Two hours later we landed in Portland. Liam was so excited and so was I.

"Mommy, is daddy here?" he asked.

"Not yet. We are going to wait for him though." I said. I grabbed my bag and put Liam's backpack on him and grabbed our suitcase. I packed one carry on suitcase for Liam and I. We were sitting in the back of the plane and waited for about a half hour before we were able to get off. When we got off the plane, I looked for somewhere Liam and I could get a snack while we waited. I also used the restroom. After we ate a snack and used the bathroom, I looked at the flight board to see where Ross was coming from. I found his flight and saw they had landed. I sent Ross a text and told him we were standing by the baggage claim exit.

"Liam, look for daddy, He should be coming soon." I said. Liam got very excited and watched people coming from every direction. 

"Mommy!!! I see him!!!" Liam said after ten minutes and pointed to Ross. I smiled and let Liam run to his dad. It was so cute seeing them reunite. I started to cry. I walked over to them and hugged Ross after Liam. Ross gave me a kiss and a hug and then looked at my belly. 

"Babe! You look so cute." He said putting his hand on my stomach. I giggled and thanked him and hugged the rest of the family. When we finished saying hello, we walked to baggage claim to get their luggage. Ross held my hand as we walked. 

Two hours later

We were finally eating dinner which I was thankful for because I was starting to feel sick. I caught everyone up on the pregnancy and they talked about tour.  While we were eating, a fan asked for a picture from Ross. He took one with her and she was on her way. Shortly after we all left the restaurant and went back to our Air BnB. When we got back to the house, I went to our room and fell asleep. I was so exhausted from travelling.

I woke up the next morning to Ross kissing my shoulder. I rolled over and gave him a kiss. 

"Good morning, love." Ross said. I smiled at him.

"Morning." I said and laid my head on Ross' chest. "I missed you." I added.

"Me too." Ross said. We just laid in each others arms for an hour before getting out of bed. I rolled out of bed and took a shower. While I was in the shower, Ross got Liam ready for the day. My husband came back into the bathroom just as I finished putting on my bra. 

"Oh, that belly is cuter naked." Ross said. I giggled and rolled my eyes at him. 

"Do you know the gender?" Ross asked.

"I do." I said as I pulled my pants up. I looked at Ross and he was begging me to tell him. How could I resist his pleading eyes? They were so cute and I was almost in tears. 

"I'd thought you'd never ask." I said to him as I pulled my shirt over my head.

"Well are you going to tell me?" He asked. I smiled and nodded at him. I pulled his ear to my lips.

"We are having a son." I said. Ross pulled his head away and looked at me.

"Really?" He asked. I nodded and he pulled me in for a tight hug. 

"But don't tell anyone." I said to him. He nodded and then hopped in the shower. I did my hair and make-up. 

When we were both ready we walked to the kitchen to see what was for breakfast. I found Liam eating some of Stormie's pancakes and I smiled. 

"It smells amazing!" I said while grabbing a plate. I was very hungry this morning. I sat by Liam and began eating my food. Ross took some of my pancake and I got somewhat upset but quickly forgave him. 

Once everyone ate their breakfast we left the air BnB and explored the city. We went to kid friendly places and all of the children had a blast playing and running around. I even found it some what relaxing. When the afternoon hit, the kids began getting tired so we all headed to the venue so they could soundcheck. All of the kids fell asleep on the floor and I even fell asleep on a couch backstage. 

I woke up an hour later to use the restroom. After I went pee, I began feeling sick. I found Ross and told him that I needed to eat food. 

"Okay, I think someone left to get food." He said while pulling me close to him. 

"Okay, well I need something now. I don't care what it is just something to settle my stomach until the food arrives." I said. Ross nodded and looked for some kind of snack for me. 

"Hey does anyone have any snacks Katie can eat?" Ross asked. Vanni was quick to respond. 

"I do!" She said and handed Ross some goldfish. He thanked her and handed me the snack. I ate some and began feeling a whole lot better.

"Oh my gosh! Thanks so much Vanni!" I said. She nodded and we all went back to having our own different conversations.
