ch. 9

Ross pov

Rydel and Katie left the hotel room and went shopping. Lacey was with me.

"Ross, "Lacey said.

"Yeah, Lace." I said.

"Tomorrow Katie is gonna be 18." Lacey said.

"Really?" I asked surprised.

"Yeah we have to go get her a present!" Lacey said.

"Yes we do. Put your shoes and jacket on and we'll go buy one!" I said. Lacey put her shoes on. We had four hotel rooms that were joined together. Well two rooms joined together and the other two were joined together. I found my mom in the other room.

"Mom Lacey and I are going to go buy Katie a birthday gift." I said.

"When's her birthday?" my mom asked.

"Tomorrow! " I said.

"Ross lets go lets go!!" Lacey said pulling my arm. I laughed.

"Alright be safe!" my mom said.

"We will! " I said walking out the door. Lacey and I walked to the elevators. Once we hit the lobby I picked Lacey up seeing how chaotic it was outside. I didn't want to lose Lacey. I found a couple stores near our hotel. I walked into the first one and put Lacey down. She held my hand as we walked around the store. We walked around and I heard my sisters' voice.

"Lacey stay quiet I hear them!" I said turning into a random aisle. We listened to them talk.

"Ah this is super cute! But its to expensive!" Katie said. I looked at what the girls were looking at.

"Yeah I think its cute to! You should tell Ross to buy it for you for your birthday!" Rydel said.

"I would but he doesn't know just you!" Katie said.

"Really? now he knows!" Rydel said. my phone vibrated. it was a text from Rydel.

"Can I get this?" Lacey asked. I nodded. I found a card for her and so did Lacey. The only thing I needed was the shirt she wanted. I haven't heard the girls in a while so I looked for them. They were gone. Lacey and I went to grab the shirt she wanted and then we checked out. I carried the bags in one hand and Lacey in the other. We walked back to the hotel.

When we got to the hotel, I saw Rydel and Katie walk into the elevator. I turned and went the other way. I put Lacey down and called my mom.

"Hello." she said.

"Mom I bought the gifts for Katie but shes going to the room. can you keep her there while I hide the gifts in rikers room.

"Yeah." she said.

"k. thanks bye!" I said hanging up. Lacey and went in the elevator and then to rikers room.

"Hey Ross, what's up?" Riker asked. We walked in. Lacey ran over to everyone else.

"I need a favor. " I said.

"What is it?" he asked.

"Can you hide Katie's birthday gifts until tomorrow?" I asked.

"Yeah sure. mom told us we planned something for her!" he said.

"Thanks man! I gotta go. she just texted me." I said. He nodded, took her gifts, and shut the door. Lacey stayed with them. I walked back into my room. I found Katie standing and looking at her phone. I walked behind and picked her up and spun around.

"I love you so much!" I said while putting her back on her feet.

"I love you to. I have to tell you something." she said.

"What?" I asked sweetly.

"Tomorrow is.. my birthday." She said.

"Really? I know it is." I said.

"How? " she asked.

"Because I would be a terrible boyfriend if I didn't know." I said and then kissed her. She giggled.

"Ok. Rydel told me." I said. I kissed her again, this one lasting longer than the others.

We kissed until we couldn't breath anymore.

The next morning.

I woke up before Lacey and Katie so I got dressed and went downstairs. I bought a flower bouquet and chocolates and went to Riker and Ratliff's room. They were awake to.

"Hey Rik, I need the gift."I said. He handed it to me. I grabbed the card and wrote in it. Then I put the card in the envelope and sealed it. I addressed the card to her and put the card in the flowers.

"Can one of you bring this to her in like half an hour?" I asked.

"Yeah." they said.

"Thanks." I said leaving the room. I walked back into my room and Katie was still asleep. Lacey was coloring.

"Good morning, Lacey!" I said.

"Morning Ross!" she said focused on her coloring page. I walked over to Katie. I kissed her. She instantly wrapped he arms around my neck. I pulled back and looked at her.

"Happy birthday, my dearest Katie." I said. She smiled.

"Thanks." she said getting out of bed.

"Get ready I wanna take you out to breakfast with Lacey." I said.
