Today Lacey and I went to the beach. She held my hand as we walked by the water. I stared off at a family playing volleyball. They were laughing and having fun. A tear escaped my eye.
"Katie, why are you crying? Is it because you miss mommy?" Lacey asked. I nodded.
"Katie, I miss mommy too. I want mommy back!!" Lacey cried. I picked her up and walked away from the water and in the sand. I felt bad Lacey was crying for Mom but we both missed her a lot. I found a spot to sit so I did. Lacey hugged me and continued to cry. I hugged her and rubbed her back. Tears escaped my eyes but I quickly wiped them away when I saw people walking this way. I looked closer and realized it was the family that was playing volleyball. I stayed strong until they reached their spot.
"Who won?" the mother asked.
"Rocky, Ross and I!!" a girl said.
"We just let you win! " a boy said. I looked over at them. they looked so happy.
Lacey was still crying.
"Why did she have to go? ?" Lacey cried.
"Lacey, mom didn't want to go but she was just to weak."I said.
Ross pov
"Why rid she have to go?" a little girl asked with tears running down her face.
"Lacey, mom didn't want to go but she was just to weak. " her older sister said.
I lump was caught in my throat trying to imagine what's that girl meant. I looked around to see if someone was with them. I found no one.
"Ross wanna surf?" Riker asked. I nodded no. Everyone left. I got up and walked over to them.
"Hi, I'm Ross!" I said.
"Hi." The girl said.
"Can I sit with you two?" I asked. They both nodded yes.
"I'm Lacey and this is my sister Katie!!" the little girl said.
"wow, Lacey that's a pretty name for a pretty girl like you!!" I said. She giggled.
"Thanks!" she said.
"Ross, aren't you from R5?" Katie asked.
"Yes." I said.. "Are you a fan?" I asked.
"Yeah, we both are." Katie said. I smiled.
"Katie he's Ross from R5?" Lacey asked. Katie nodded. Lacey jumped off Katie and gave me hug. I was shocked but then hugged her back.
"Do you wanna take a walk?" I asked. Katie agreed. The three of us walked along the water. Lacey held my hand. it was pretty cute.
