ch. 19

Katie pov

Ross pulled up to his parents house. We got out of the car and carried the pies.

"You ready?" Ross asked.

"Yeah. Lets try to wait until we eat to announce though." I said. Ross nodded. The door opened. Lacey was jumping up and down.

"Katie!!!! Ross!!!" She said. She hugged us both. We walked in and took the pies to stormie. She hugged us and then we hugged everyone else.

"Lets eat!!" Stormie said. She uncovered the food. I looked at Ross and then fled to the bathroom. I really hate this part of the pregnancy.

Luckliy Ross didn't follow behind me. I cleaned up and walked back to the dining room. Ross saw me walk in. I nodded at him. He nodded back. The announcement was really all being told through my shirt which was hidden by my jacket. I walked to the empty chair next to Ross.

"Is it just me or is it a little warm in here?" I asked.

"I think its warm but ive been in the kitchen all day." Stormie said.

"Yeah its warm in here." Ross said. I took my jacket off and then sat in my chair. We started to pass food around the table. I took some mashed potatoes, ham, stuffing, bread, and the other typical thanksgiving food except the greenbean cassarole. My plate was pretty full compared to everyone else's, then again I'm eating for two.

"No way!!!" Rydel said. We all looked at her.

"What?" Ross said nudging my leg with his.

"You are!!!" Rydel said looking at me.

"Rydel, she is what?" Rocky said. Everyone looked at me. I stayed silent. It was awkward but I watched everyone look from me to Ross to my shirt and back to me.

Stormie cheered with excitement scaring us all.

"I'm so happy!!!" She said.

"we are still confused!" Riker said, talking for the boys.

"Well, I guess I know who not to call for help!!" I said. Stormie, Mark, and Ross all laughed.

"You call the awsomest aunt in the world instead!!! Rydel said.

"Who's the uncle?" Ryland asked. I nodded my head realizing they would never understand.

"Oh my gosh guys!! You're the uncles!!" I said. My shirt said "This butterball takes 9 months to roast."

After we got done eating we all talked about the baby. Well Ross and the others did I fell asleep with my head in Ross' lap.

Ross pov

"So when did you find out?" Rydel asked.

"A week ago. " I said.

"How far is she?" my mom asked.

"Nine weeks." I said. my mom nodded.

"Does she sleep and eat a lot?" my dad asked.

"Yes, I don't know how many trips I've made to the store, in the middle of the night, just to get food. " I said.everyone laughed.
