Chapter 43

Its 1 o'clock in the morning and my contractions have been consistent and every five minutes. Our family has been texting us often for updates.

"Babe, it's time to go now." I said as a tear fell down my face. I was in a lot of pain.

"Okay, let's go have us some twins!" Ross said. I smiled and we slowly walked to the car.  I stopped walking when we were in the drive way for a contraction. I wrapped my arms around Ross and we swayed until the contraction ended. I got into the car and sent a message to the family.

Ross got into the car and we took a picture for his Instagram. He drove us to the hospital and we got there without having any traffic. On the drive, I had many contractions and they were even more painful because we were in the car. Ross parked the car and helped me out of the car. We made our way to the hospital doors slowly. When we got into the hospital, Ross grabbed a wheelchair and I sat in it. Ross wheeled me to the labor and delivery floor and we got checked in. They monitored me for two hours before confirming that I was in labor.

They moved us into a big room and I was much more comfortable. I was at 6cm and my water still hasn't broke. The nurses said they would have to break it if it doesn't break before 7 cm. I chose not to have an epidural just yet and so I am constantly walking the halls to get progressing at a quicker rate.

"Alright, let's go back to the room now." I told Ross. We walked back into my room and I had another contraction. Ross and I swayed back and forth while I had the contraction. After the contraction ended, I felt a gush of water come out of me.

"That wasn't what I think it was, right?" Ross asked.

"It was." I said looking up at him.

"I'll get a nurse." He said. I nodded and went back to the bed. Ross and a nurse walked back into the room and the nurse checked me. She said I was 9 cm dilated. I was shocked. I went from a 6 to a 9 in about fifteen minutes.

It was 7 in the morning when I finally was dilated to 10 cm. After the nurse checked me, I was in so much pain that I decided to get an epidural. Once I was given the epidural, I was able to rest.

"Okay, I'm going to page the doctor and the rest of the team to come in now. It is about to get a bit chaotic but each baby is going to have their own team to make sure they are doing good. Dad, are you going to cut the cords?" The nurse asked. He nodded. The nurse left to call everyone. Ross quickly took a video to post to Instagram.I

Three hours later

I was still pushing and very tired. The doctor said that baby A's head was out. I took a breath in between the contraction.

"You're doing so good babe. Just one more push." Ross said. I pushed as hard as I could and heard everyone cheer. The baby was placed on my chest and he began crying. After a minute, Ross cut the cord and a nurse grabbed the baby off of my chest. I continued pushing. The second baby, came a lot faster than his brother. Baby B was born just 5 minutes after. He was placed on my chest and I took a couple minutes to catch my breath,

"You did it!" Ross said and he gave me a kiss. Ross cut the cord and a second nurse grabbed him off of my chest.

Both the babies were crying at the top of their lungs and I couldn't be more happier. Their cries made me so emotional and I started crying.

"Are you okay?" The doctor asked.

"Yes. It's just been a long road to have the babies. I'm glad they are here and healthy. Thank you." I said. Ross wiped away my tears and gave me a kiss. I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him.

Four hours later

We were transferred rooms, this room was bit larger than the last and I fed both the babies and did skin to skin with them. So did Ross. He took a picture of the four of us and posted it to Instagram.

He captioned it: Thankful for my healthy, happy twins!

We haven't announced the genders yet because we want to tell our family first. Rocky was the first to come to the hospital room because Liam was staying with him.

"Knock, Knock." Rocky said.

"Come in." Ross said. Ross and I were each holding a baby. Liam came into the room and was excited to meet his brothers.

"Congratulations." Rocky said. He took the baby from my arms and held him. I took a picture of Rocky and it was so cute.

About an hour after Rocky and Liam arrived, the rest of the family came to visit. The girls were over the moon and passing the babies around. The guys were all just chatting away.

"Okay what are their names?" Stormie asked.

"Um well, we haven't really decided yet.  We have a few names in mind but haven't picked any out yet." I said.

"Really?" Rydel asked. I just nodded.

"When we decide we will tell y'all though." I said.

Two days later

We are finally going home! I can't wait to be back in my own home. I'm just scared to take care of all the kids while Ross is gone.

Ross took all of our belongings to the car and also pulled the car around. The babies and I were wheeled down to meet up with Ross. Ross put the babies in the back seat and I also sat in the backseat with them. Before we got home, Ross stopped to get food. I wanted In-N-Out. When we got home, the entire family met us on our front yard and helped us unload our car.

The family stayed for hours and we all just talked. I fell asleep in my room before everyone had left. I was so tired.
