"Another shot, please."

Emperor had been at this bar that was really not to his liking for the past hour. He had left without notifying Prince or N-Pacer, but he didn't really care anymore. Eging Jr's death had finally hit him. "Break up? You've been here a while, man," the bartender said as he started pouring the drink. "Much worse," he said as the bartender passed him another shot. "Hit me." Emperor chuckled sadly. "My older sister killed my boyfriend because he was extorting money out of this Octo chic she likes." The bartender hesitated before letting out a small laugh. "That one takes the cake. That's... harsh." The yellow Inkling looked at the bartender. "What's your name?" The bartender showed Emperor the fingerless gloves in his hand. "Gloves is the name."
"I'm Emperor."

A short Inkling girl suddenly sat on one of the bar stools. She had green tentalocks, a green scar on her eye and a green mask concealing most of her face. "Gloves?" she called over. "Oh, hey. You're that new drug dealer I heard so much about, right?" She nodded. "You told me to meet you here, correct? Or shall we figure this out after your shift," she suggested. "Nah, this is fine," he said, fishing out his wallet from his pocket. "100 bucks for 6 grams, eh? Definitely not the most I've payed for, thank god," he said, handing her the money. "Trust me, you're getting quite the steal," she said with satisfaction, giving him 6 small bags of crack. "Remember to hit me up if ya need anymore," she said before getting up and leaving.

"Wanna fuck?" Emperor suddenly said. "Dude, you're drunk. I get that you're sad that your boyfriend just died and all but believe me, I don't think having a one night stand is what you need right now," Gloves said, shoving the drugs into his pocket. "Shut up, I don't care anymore. You can't talk me out of this, just tell me. Do you want to fuck or not?" Emperor insisted. The green Inkling bit his lip. "Tempting," he muttered. "Yes or no, I won't get offended. I just want a good time." Gloves scoffed and shook his head.

"Fuck it. Sure."

Agent 3 slid her mask down, letting it rest on her chin. She took a few deep breaths before checking her new burner phone if anyone wanted anymore crack; there were none. She grabbed the money she had gotten from going out on drug deals all day. She counted 600 bucks. She let out a sigh of relief. The short Inkling decided to go back home for the day to finally hang out with 8.

When she arrived home, the Octoling girl smiled brightly. "Hi," she said excitedly, rushing over to her girlfriend with a smile. "Hey," Agent 3 said, grabbing 8's face and brought it closer to her. She left a soft kiss on her lips. The taller girl smiled and kissed her too. "I'm glad you're back home early," she said with a small chuckle. "You know what, let's go do something," 3 suggested. "Like what?" The Inkling girl shrugged. "Whatever you'd like to do." The Octoling bit down on her lip. "Are you sure you have the money for that?" The small agent just smirked and grabbed out the 600 bucks from her pocket.

8 let out a short laugh. "How did you...?" she smiled and hugged her short girlfriend. "I just cashed out my paycheck," 3 said, hugging her much taller girlfriend. "I'm not sure I want to leave the house tonight," she said honestly. "That's fine. I'm okay doing anything as long as it's with you," the Inkling said with a smile. The Octoling's heart started beating faster. She felt tears prickle her eyes. "I love you so much," she said with a dramatic sniffle. "Hey, please don't cry," the Inkling girl said, wiping away her girlfriend's tears. "You're beautiful," Agent 8 said with a stifled laugh. Agent 3 couldn't help but kiss her again. "Why not we spend the rest of the day in bed? I'm sure you're tired," the taller girl suggested. As if on cue, the green tentacled girl yawned.

"Yeah, good idea."

"Big brother still isn't back yet, N-Pacer. Where did he go?" Prince asked as the yellow Inkling girl walked through the door with a wet umbrella. She hung her raincoat on the coat rack and hugged Prince. "I'm not sure," she said, letting go of him and heading over to the kitchen to make food for him. "Where did you go?" Prince took a seat on the couch. She chuckled as she grabbed a pizza out of the freezer. "You know Bobble? From the Blue Gang?" Prince nodded his head while turning on the TV. "She tried to off herself yesterday, but her friends took her to the psych ward before she could, so I went to go visit her," N-Pacer explained. A moment of silence was shared between the two.

"Is Eging going to have a funeral?" the smaller boy suddenly asked. She inhaled sharply. "Of course he is," she said, trying her best not to let her voice crack. "I'm gonna call Em," she muttered before putting the pizza in the oven and leaving the room. As she entered her bedroom, N-Pacer looked through her contacts until she found Emperor's. "Oh, hey Pacer," he answered lazily. "You're drunk, aren't you?" She frowned. "Uh, that and I'm kinda high but uh, don't worry about me. I'll come home later," he said with a giggle. "Em, Prince is worried. I'm worried. Where are you?" she asked. "Having fun."
"I didn't ask what you were doing. I asked where the hell are you?"
"Some bartender's bedroom."

N-Pacer hung up and threw her phone across the room. "Dammit!" she exclaimed. "How fucking inconsiderate can he be!?" she shouted to herself as she let her nails dig into her palms. The door creaked open. "N-Pacer? Are you okay?" Prince asked as he opened the door. She grabbed him and hugged him as if she was about to lose him too. "Never turn out like your brother. He may be strong, but he's an asshole. Promise me, Prince," she said, tears rolling down her cheeks. "I-I promise, but what did he do?"

She let go and wiped her tears, leaving her room and walking into the kitchen for a drink. "He's having a one night stand," she growled. Prince joined her and looked down somberly. He opened his mouth to say something, then closed it. "I wish he could just be a decent person for two damn seconds, Prince. I wish he was here for you." N-Pacer sighed as she turned on the electric tea kettle. Prince looked up at her with teary eyes. "P-Pacer?" She turned to him, concerned. "Thank you. For taking care of me, I mean. That's- that's something Emperor never really did. And Pearl, she, y'know. She's never around and uh, she does things like... what- what she did the other day. You're the sibling I wish I had and um, I'm really glad you're here." Prince stuttered out. N-Pacer smiled. "You deserve so much better."

The oven began to beep and N-Pacer grabbed the oven mitts. "Let's eat, shall we?" Prince smiled and nodded. She pulled the pizza out and cut a slice for the two of them. She placed the slices on some overpriced glass plates and motioned Prince over to follow her to the couch. The two happily conversed over their pizza until Emperor slammed the door open, drunk as ever, with a green inkling at his side. "Meet my new boyfriend."
