"Thanks for driving me home, Rider." The aforementioned smiled slightly. "Anytime," he said as Goggles gave him his helmet back. The blue Inkling gave Rider a bright smile. "Bye!" Before Rider could put his helmet back on, Goggles kissed his cheek. The Yellow Green Gang's leader blushed. "Later," he mumbled before revving the engine and leaving. Goggles smiled to himself and started walking to the emergency exit stairs of his apartment building. The alarm stopped working years ago so he usually took this route when he was sneaking back in the Blue Gang's shared apartment. When he got to his destination, he unlocked it as quietly as he could. There was no point, as soon as he opened the door Specs was shouting at him.

"Where the hell were you?!" Specs yelled. Goggles faced down and mumbled "I wanted to go out for a bit." Headphones and Bobble came running to the front door to see why Specs was yelling. "Why didn't you answer my calls?!" The blue gang's leader screamed, making Goggles back up into the wall. "My phone died." He replied, looking towards Headphones for help. "Specs leave him alone, he just wanted to have some fun for once." Headphones said, giving the aforementioned a tired look. "No, what the hell! I thought he died or something! He can't just fuck around and keep getting in trouble like he always does!" Specs hollered. Goggles spoke out "Shut up Specs! You're the reason we all can't have fun anymore!" Everyone turned to him and froze. "Maybe the reason we can't have fun is because we need to stay the fuck alive Goggles! You fucking idiot!" A loud slap was heard throughout the room. Goggles felt a sharp pain on his cheek and whimpered. "What the hell, Specs? He's just a kid!" Headphones scolded, pushing him away from Goggles. Bobble wrapped her arm around Goggles, looking at where Specs struck him. "He's 16 and he's still acting like a fucking toddler," Specs ridiculed. "Who died and gave you permission to hurt him?" Headphones retorted.

Goggles tuned the two Inklings' arguing out. He let his tears fall and he held his cheek. Bobble inspected the injury, making sure he was okay. "Specs has been stressed, he didn't mean to hit you that hard. Sorry Goggles." She told him, with a sad smile. He ignored her words and just ran to his bedroom, slamming and locking the door behind him. He opened his window, looking down at how high it was. They lived on the third floor of the apartment building. He grabbed his Splattershot from under his bed and shot the wall, deciding it was safest to just swim down there. He turned into a squid and swam down.

When his feet touched the ground, Goggles found himself running towards Moray Towers all over again. He didn't know where else to go. Then he remembered which way Rider went, which was the complete opposite of where the towers were. Unfortunately, Goggles didn't know where Rider lived. He tripped over a rock, and fell to his knees on the sidewalk. He sat there, crying into his hands. His cheek still stung.

A bout of laughter caught his attention, and he turned to see Aloha and Army, walking side by side. Aloha's laughter disappeared when he met Goggles' teary gaze. Army stared at him, but stayed quiet. "Goggles! What's got you out here this late at night, you good?" Aloha questioned, extending a hand to help the blue inkling up. Goggles took his hand and felt himself being yanked up. "Y-yeah! Things just happened with uh, my team and ah, I decided to go for a walk." He sputtered nervously. Army frowned, "You don't look too well, your cheek is starting to swell. And your knees look pretty fucked up." Goggles just scoffed. "It's fine, it's okay, everything is-" He began choking on his words, a tear or two running down his face as he tried to give them a reassuring smile.

"Well, now we know that's bullshit," Aloha said, earning a flick in the head. "Not the time," Army scolded. "I don't want to go back there," Goggles sniffled. "Let's help him out, Army," Aloha suggested. "What are we supposed to tell Skull when he sees him though? We can't make up the threesome excuse this time." said Army. "Just tell Skull the truth; his gang mates were being assholes and he needed a place to stay." Aloha stopped himself and gave Goggles a wryly smile. "Why don't you just go to your boyfriend's?" The blue Inkling's eyes widened. "I don't... I don't have a boyfriend-" Aloha laughed. "Chill, dude. We already know about you and Rider," Aloha said with a smirk. "But we aren't dating?" Army raised an eyebrow. "Boyfriend or not, you two are obviously care for each other." Goggles blushed. "I don't know where he lives."
