The white walls of the psychiatric ward that still surrounded Bobble were getting blander and blander by the second. Considering she was there for almost a month now, that was really bland. Ever since Mask escaped, things have gotten sad and boring. Bobble couldn't say she exactly liked the cyan inkling at first, but as they hung out more, she couldn't help herself. She fell for him so hard, she was willing to do almost anything for him. Unfortunately though, when she was caught trying to overdose, the psych ward decided she had to stay for longer. She grimaced at the thought of how stupid she was. Even if Mask did force her to do meth, she was also at fault for wanting more. She couldn't help it, it made her feel some kind of way. It made her feel excited and that's exactly what Mask wanted from her. It just made her more fun for him to play with. Those terrible words that left his mouth that day kept replaying in her head.

"They're wooorking on discharging me just so those daaamnned cops can arrest meee," Mask muttered, finding a way to break down the window in his room. "If you're gonna leave, let me come too," Bobble said somewhat desperately. "You'll only sloooww me dooown," he said as he found a latch that only opened the window a little bit. "No I won't. I just want to be with you, is that too much to ask?" she asked. "Can yooouu shut up for a seecooond?" he snapped, giving her an annoyed glare before trying to open the window a little more.

"Mask," the blue inkling grabbed one of his hands and held it dearly to her heart, causing him to groan and look at her irritably. "Do you love me?" The question was not only unavoidable, but inevitable. He took his other hand off of the latch and grabbed her face gently. He stared at her for a few more seconds before bending down to kiss her. Although Bobble wasn't very smart when it came to kissing, she could feel how wrong this one felt. How could a simple kiss feel so sad? She could tell it was goodbye.

When he pulled away, he sighed. "I don't love yooouu," he admitted, so uncomfortably calm for the actual context of his words. Although he didn't seem like the kind of guy to do something so cruel, he said this while looking right into her dark blue eyes, which already had tears forming. They stared there in silence as Bobble's tears fell. Mask wiped them away with his thumb before turning to the window again. "I'm sorrryyy," he muttered before taking ahold of the latch and breaking the window open. He took one last look at Bobble, guilt washing over him when he made eye contact with her one last time. He bit down on his lip before taking a deep breath and jumping through the window.

A million thoughts had run through Bobble's head about what happened. Why was he so calm? Why was he so nice to her? What did Bobble do to benefit him at all? But of course, those questions were answered quickly. He just wanted to play with her. Her small, short yet curvy body, her cute face, and her innocent personality, it was just what he wanted. Although he did all those things to her, she still wanted to believe he did like her in some way. He was so generous to her outside of the bedroom, there had to be something there right?

Bobble was curled up in her bed one afternoon, clinging on dearly to a note he'd written just a few weeks before what had happened. It was a simple note, just telling her to meet him in the janitors' closet for a quick makeout session. She had stopped crying now, but only because she had lost all her energy to do so. Her eyes were still very puffy though, and her cute voice was raspy.

A knock on the door pulled her out of her thoughts. She sat up and stuffed the note under her pillow. "Yes?" A nurse opened the door slightly. "I'm sorry, uh, you have a visitor," the nurse informed. "Oh. Okay," the blue inkling said bluntly. The nurse opened the door a little wider to reveal Specs. She took a deep breath before letting out a small "hi". He said a quick "hi" as the nurse left them alone. "I wasn't expecting you to come and visit," Bobble admitted, crossing her legs on her bed as he took a seat. "I wasn't expecting to come and visit you too, but here I am," he stated honestly.
