"Hey, Army! Do you mind meeting me at Blackbelly? I need to talk you about Aloha, he's been acting kinda weird lately, don't ya think?"
"I broke up with him."
"Oh. He still really likes you though, doesn't he?"
"He still really likes how I am in bed."
"I can convince you otherwise. Just meet me at Blackbelly as soon as you can," I quickly hung up, afraid of what else he might say. I looked down at my Splash-o-matic, it was shaking in my hand. "It's okay, Metry. Just calm down. Maybe he'll survive somehow or something," I reassured myself. My phone started ringing. I quickly picked it up. "Hello?" I perked up a bit at the sound of Rider's voice, "Yo, Metry. Did ya do it yet?" I sighed, "Not yet. Just got off the phone with him though. Don't worry, it'll be done very soon." Rider let out a sigh, "I'll take your word for it." He hung up.
Army didn't keep me waiting. All he did was show up early to his own death.
"Convince me," he said, pacing back and forth slowly. "I'm still in love with Aloha, but there are so many reasons not to stay with him. Please just give me a reason to go back to him," Army pleaded. I frowned internally. That was kinda sad. "Well, tell me all the reasons why you shouldn't be with him," I offered. He nodded, leaning against the wall.
"For one, he constantly needs me to do things for him. He's such a dependent asshole, he can never do anything on his own. He needed you to kidnap Rider, he needed Rider to steal from Specs, and he always needs me to be his little maid!"
I nodded my head and frowned. I knew exactly how Aloha could be. I wished I could tell him how to fix his relationship but, well, it's too late now. I let Army go on.
"Two, he only says that he loves me when he wants me to do something, it's so annoying. He's using me. He's been using me from the start, I doubt he really loves me." Army scowled and stared at his boots.
"And three, that's obvious. He always wants to fuck. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it sometimes, but not several times a day! Cod, Aloha just doesn't know when to stop, it's all he wants!"
He looked up at me with teary eyes, "So why, why should we get back together?" I didn't know how to respond. Aloha was a terrible boyfriend. "I-I don't know Army."
"Then why did you bring me here?" I almost forgot what I was supposed to do till he asked me that. I felt nauseous, like I could puke at any moment. "I- I'm sorry, I just wanna let you know- Aloha loves you, even if he's really bad at showing it." He tilted his head, "Metry, w-why are you crying?"
I quickly drew my Splash-o-matic, and without looking, pulled the trigger in his direction. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Aloha loves you so much, I'm so sorry!" I frantically shot a line of ink in the opposite direction and swam away.
I didn't want to see what I did to him. I didn't even know where I shot him or if he'd even die. I didn't care. I felt like a murderer. I am a murderer. I heard his shout of pain, and I'll never forget it.
"Metry?"
"Huh?" The pink inkling looked up at Rider. "You okay?" She blinked a few times, realizing she had tears in her eyes that didn't fall but were definitely on the brink. "Yeah. Sorry, I just zoned out. I'm fine."
The school cardigan had been in the hospital for about two weeks. Rider payed for everything, just as he had promised and now he was picking her up. She looked in the bathroom mirror with a smile. "I'm so pretty," she muttered. "You were pretty before too, Metry," Rider said, standing just outside ready to leave. "And I'm so curvy," she giggled, twirling around and watching her skirt flow up. Rider sighed, "Glad you're enjoying yourself. Can I drop you off home now?"
