Trigger warning: talk of suicide depression and multiple other mental disorders.

No one's POV

It had been a couple of weeks since the 'incident' with the spider. Roman had apologised over a hundred times while, to each new apology Patton just brushed it off stating that he didn't know and it wasn't his fault. Logan had been skeptical of moving Patton into Virgil's room and himself into Roman's but allowed the change all the same. He knew it was for the best and wanted to get back onto Virgil's good side.

The odd group was relaxing in the commons when Dr Pancini came in.

"I was looking for you four it's time for your weekly group therapy."

Patton sat straight up as though a bolt of electricity had been shot down his spine. "G-group th-therapy? What do you mean group therapy?"

"Don't worry Pat, it'll only be us. And anyways it's just so that Pancini here can get us to talk to people other than him and learn to actually be functioning human beans." Virgil reassured.

"Humans are not beans Virgil." Logan corrected Virgil.

"Patton's a bean therefore he would become a functioning human bean."

"And what exactly qualifies someone as a 'bean' as you put it."

"I have a feeling that they do this allot." Roman whispered to Patton as the odd couple continued the debate on whether Patton was in fact a bean and what exactly were the qualifications to be considered a bean.

Patton just gave a wordless nod and continued to stare at a distant point. Roman just shrugged and continued to watch Virgil and Logan's debate.

"What's wrong Patton?" Pancini laid his hand comfortingly on Patton's shoulder.

Patton panicked the words flowing out before he could stop them. "I'm just...what if they don't like me when they find out what I've done? What if they start silently wishing that I had succeeded in my attempt? What if-"

Pancini interrupted Patton knowing fully well what he was talking about. "Calm down. Everything is gonna be alright. Virgil and Logan are some of the kindest most understanding boys I have ever had the honor of knowing. Neither of them would even think of doing or saying anything like your what you're thinking."

"What about Roman?"

"Roman, I can tell, is an honorable young man. From what I have gathered he would more likely seek to protect you than to harm you."

"You're probably right. I'll try to do it your way, to talk to them before I assume what they're going to say. Thanks for this."

"You're welcome Patton, and if they do reject you for what you did in the past, then they're in for a stern talking to from me." With this Pancini turned to the whole room. "You three come on, to my office."

They all followed Pancini to his office, Virgil and Logan 'talking' all the way there. There was an award silence as Logan and Virgil reached a compromise until Patton suddenly perked up.

"Virgil!"

"What?"

"I'm gonna adopt you."

"Patton I don't think that's how the legal system works."

"Not 'adopt' adopt just like adopt."

"Still confused on what you mean."

"Oh I think I've heard of this!" Roman chimed in. "Some kids in my school did this."

And what exactly is 'this'?" Even Logan was confused at this point.

"So it's kinda like being adopted into the friend group except you get a familial like figure to go along with it!" Patton explained. "Its really fun to try and trace the 'family' trees! I've had a granddaughter who was also my great aunt."

"That sounds like it can get quite confusing rather fast."

"Yea, it can. So can I."

"Sure Pat, I'd be honored to be your son. Or wait were you saying that you can get confusing quickly?" Virgil responded.

Ignoring the second question Patton started squealing excitedly.

"I believe you may have broken him." Logan joked.

Pancini clapped to get their attention. "Let's get down to business."

"To defeat the hun!" Roman interjected.

"More like to defeat the mental disorders." Virgil laughed.

"Anyways-" Pancini started trying to get the overactive teens back on topic. "Let's go around and tell our names and then our little quirk that we're trying to fix. Logan you can go first then we'll go clockwise from there."

"Salutations, my name is Logan Lee Braun and my 'little quirk' as Pancini says is that I am very anti-social and I am very easily befuddled by the emotions and feelings of others. This normally would not constitute the placement in a psychiatric facility such as this one but my parents are rich, emotional, and very close minded."

"Yea they're jerks, anyways my name's Virgil Black. I do have a middle name but I'm not gonna tell you. My quirk is intense and crippling social anxiety! Yay."

"You know I would never take you to be the type of people that had disorders. You don't really act very anti social."

"Roman just tell them there's no judgement here."

Roman slumped. "Fine. My name is Roman Royal Prince."

"Very pretentious."

"Are you going to let me talk Mr nightmare or do you not want to know my 'little quirk' as we've been saying... Good anyways my quirk is that I'm... An anorexic... With... Self-esteem issues... And I may or may not have dabbled in cutting."

"Good job Roman. It's hard to admit it sometimes. Now you Patton. Come on no-one will judge you."

The other boys looked at Patton in confusion. 'What could make him so afraid of judgement like this'.

"My name is Patton Sunshine Emotion, and my quirk...well quirks... Are...well firstly there is my aracniphobia, but you guys already know about that....then there's my ADD, but you could probably already tell that, by the way I act....and finally there's my depression and suicidal thought. They're the real reason why I'm here. I- I- my friend Terrance caught me... Well saved me after I-I- atte- tried to kill myself." Patton looked down at his hands ashamed of what he had just admitted.

"What?!" Virgil sounded furious.

Mua ha ha ha ha cliffhanger. Ya I'm doing this. So what's Virgil think why's he sound so angry.
