Logan's POV

Logan's vision blacked out once more, fading to revel him in his room. The door slammed open, deceit collapsing into the room. "It-it's Remy. He isn't moving! He just collapsed and he isn't getting back up! He-he-"

"Calm down deceit. I can't understand your rambling." Logan waited while the half snake person took a couple of breaths. "Now who is this 'Remy' that you're talking about?" Logan couldn't help but be reminded of Virgil's former martial artist teacher that had disappeared during the break in.

"R-Remy is sleep's real n-name. He-he told me-we to-told eachother our names. We knew eachother before-before Thomas." Logan grabbed  deceit's hand from where it was scratching at his light green scales.

"Well, come along. The less time we spend standing around, the more likely that Remy will make a full recovery." Logan kept a hold of deceit's hand as they made their way to a dark yellow door. The door was ajar, revealing the still figure sprawled out on the bed. Logan rushed over feeling his neck for a pulse. Finding none he leaned down listening for any hint of life. "How much caffeine did he consume?"

"On-only around twelve c-cups."

"That's nowhere near enough to be lethal." Deceit's eyes widened, filling with tears once again. Logan gave him no mind, patting the dead man's jacket. He quickly found an empty bottle of pills. Deceit covered his mouth horrified at the prospect.

"He-he- why though- we were happy!" The snake man collapsed, holding  Remy's body close as he sobbed.

Logan rubbed Deceit's back stiffly. "I believe it was unintentional, they are only caffeine pills. He didn't mean to overdose but-"

"But he was an idiot. He loved his caffeine more than he loved me." Logan sat with him awkwardly, trying to calm him down as his own curiosity ate away at him.

Logan waited until deceit was calmed down to start asking questions. "How did you know him? In the previous life that is."

"He was the first- I guess not the first but the second person to truly care for me." Deceit's voice was muffled and rough as he had his face buried in Remy's jacket.

"May I ask who was the first?" A small smile made its way onto the heartbroken man's face.

"My brother. He always loved me. No matter how many tantrums he would throw he would always be up for another round of hide and seek. Mum didn't give him enough attention and during the school year he would spend hours alone. I was the only one who paid attention to him. He was only three you know. When I left him."

"Did you get taken by the mirrors?"

"No... I- I was shot. A psychopath ambushed us on the way home." Logan's own traumatic memories came to mind. "It was his fourth birthday.... We were on our way home from an ice cream parlor that he lovingly had shortened to-"

"Mickey's?"  Logan was confused as the name came out of his mouth. Deceit's head shot up.

"How? How did you know?" Logan undid his tie, unbuttoning his polo as well.

"Because that's what I called it as a kid." Logan pulled down his shirt to reveal a small scar on his shoulder. "Dee it's me, Logan."

Dee stopped as thoughts raced thru Logan's mind. 'How did he survive? How is he here?' Both men were cut off by a piercing, heartbroken scream.

They ran towards the source of the scream stopping at a baby blue door.

Logan shied away from what he saw. Anxiety was holding a limp morality in his arms. Blood dripped slowly down the limp man's arms. "No no no no no no! Why! I'm right here Patton! I- I stayed strong for you."  Logan's eyes widened as he realised what the emo lookalike ment. The dead young man used to be his bubbly friend.

Logan saw a slightly bloodied piece of paper laying on the floor. He picked it up to see it contained a note from the dead man. He looked at the anxiety before reading the note, finding that he had been reduced to a babbling mess of ruined makeup and tears.

My fellow sides,

I'm sorry to do this but I fear that I'm not strong enough. I'm not strong enough to be Thomas's morality. I'm not happy enough to be his heart. I'm not good enough to be a dad.

I'm sorry Virgil. I can't do this without you. You were my light at the end of the tunnel and without you I'm lost. You'll probably never read this. But I want you to remember that I'll always love you. No matter how far apart we are.

I guess I'll see you soon, we made eachother stronger.

Sincerely,

~Patton sunshine emotion

Logan read the note over and over again, trying to process the words on the paper. He was startled out of his thoughts by Dee's scream. He looked up to see a knife protruding out of Anxiety's chest, Dee holding a small cut on his human cheek.

"I- I tried to stop him. He-he didn't- he kept saying that Patton was waiting for him!" The world faded to static as Dee continued to rant. A book replaced the previous scene. He read what was previously written down.

10-09
Remus has yet to wake up. Joan and Talen took Thomas to a therapist today. He was prescribed sleep pills and bed rest. They were all confused at Thomas's sudden change in behavior.

10-22
We have given up hope on the other sides reforming. We will decide what will happen to Thomas in the meeting today.

Logan looked at what he was currently writing.

10-23
It has been decided. Thomas cannot live like this. He isn't Thomas without the others.

Logan got up standing beside Dee as he looked at the large screen in front of them.

"I'm almost done. You made the calculations?" Logan silently nodded and looked up at the screen. "Emile is staying with Remus, wants to be with him when it ends." A close-up of a phone showed on the screen, the messaging app opened. Logan read what was currently displayed on the screen.

I'm sorry you guys. I can't do this anymore. I don't have any moral compass, I'm slower than a drugged turtle, and I haven't been able to think of a bright idea in months. If I'm being honest I even my reasoning isn't doing so well. I can't do this anymore. I don't want you to try and save me, I'm to far for that, just, stay out of the bathroom. I don't want you to have to find me. You've already helped me so much and I wouldn't want to put that on your conscience.

The phone was put down as a bottle of pills were picked up. The world faded around Logan as the figure on the screen took the pills. There was a thud right before Logan woke up.

Logan bolted up, almost hitting his boyfriend with his head. Roman was quick to pull Logan close, rubbing his back. "Calm down, it's ok dear, everything's going to be fine,

Whelp. That's that. I killed everyone. Also did anyone decode my secret message in the first nightmare chapter?
