Patton's POV

Patton was curious. What was so important that Virgil needed to hide it from his best friends?

'It could be a blog or something like that where he rants about how annoying you are.'

'Not now Gerald! I'm talking about things he would actually do!'

'Sheesh fine, be like that, but don't come crying to me when I'm right.'

'Virgil would never do that......right?'

'You don't sound that sure. He has been avoiding you more. He could be preparing to let you go.'

'I'll just ask him. I'll go up to him and clear this all up. That's it. This is all just a misunderstanding. He probably just has a really addicting or needy game. Yea that's it.'

"Hey pat, you doing anything right now? Roman and Logan are being all lovey dovey and its getting to be excessive." Virgil stood in the open doorway.

"Did they start making out on the couch? Ooh I want all the details!" Patton faked excitement, Virgil couldn't see that he was hurting.

"He he, you're more invested in their relationship than they are."

"Well they're my ship! It's not my fault if I support it more than they do! Now details!!"

"It wasn't anything to big just needing to be touching at all times and stuff like that. I could tell that Roman was holding back allot of the time, ya know? He seems like the type of person who wants to do everything for their partner."

"Yea! But Logan's just so independent is probably hard for him to accept the help."

"Logan is pretty stubborn that's for sure..... Patton I came here to talk to you about something...... Something that will probably change our relationship...." 'Oh no'

Virgil's POV

Virgil sat in the common room a ukelele in his lap. He finished strumming and Roman started enthusiastically applauding.

"Spectacular! Patton will love it! If he isn't already in love with you then this will certainly make him fall for you!"

"You were a bit slow on the chord changes but otherwise I'd have to agree with Roman. It was quite a show." Logan inputted, even clapping a few times for support.

"Thanks I really needed that. I'm just... What if he doesn't like it? What if he doesn't feel the same? This would probably ruin our relationship."

"Calm down Virgil, even if he doesn't feel the same, he most likely wouldn't hold it against you. Even if he held no romantic feelings for you, he would probably try dating you to see if he would develop those feelings for you."

"You're right Logan but what if he's expecting some big show or elaborate plan like Roman did for you?"

"You don't think that this is a grand gesture? You literally learned an entirely new instrument just so you could sing for him!" Roman's tone bordered on anger as he told Virgil off. "Now go, steal his heart away!"

Virgil got up, half because of Roman's encouragement and half because he was afraid what Roman would do if he kept saying he was gonna mess it up. Virgil made his way down the hall to the room. He saw Patton sitting on the bed deep in thought.

'He's so adorable! The way he can make anyone laugh with just a couple of well placed jokes, how he always sees the best in everyone.'

'He's to good for you. He'll never feel the same. All this will do is make it awkward to be around each other.' Virgil's thoughts spiraled in a downward descent.
