It was a typical night with Calum. You were both changing into your pyjamas and getting ready for bed. You put on an old t-shirt and some shorts and got into bed. Calum soon followed you wearing pyjama ends and a t-shirt.
"Are you cold tonight, Calum?" You giggled.
"No" Calum simply said.
"You never wear pyjamas in bed! You must be chilly!" you said while attempting to cuddle Calum.
"Stop Y/N I'm not cold!" Calum said sternly.
What was wrong with him? He never acted like this.
"Calum, what's wrong with you? All I asked was if you were cold or not and you went all mad and pushed me away!" You asked him while your voice raised slightly.
"Just leave me alone" Calum grumped and closed his eyes in hope of drifting into sleep.
"Not until you tell me what's wrong Calum!" you protested.
"No, you'll think it's stupid" Calum said.
"No I won't! Something's bringing you down and I want to know what it is, I won't judge!" you told him.
He opened his eyes and looked at you before speaking again.
"I just feel like the other boys are better than me you know? I mean, Ashton has the body, Luke has the face, Michael has the hair and I'm just plain old Calum who is chubby and annoying.." Calum said looking down.
You stared at him. You couldn't believe what you just heard. Calum was perfect and he shouldn't compare himself to others, especially his best friends.
"Calum, look at me" you started.
Calum lifted his head and looked into your eyes once again.
"You're absolutely perfect. Ashton may have a body but you have a body too! As far as I know Luke is not the only one with a face! You also have hair which will last way longer than Michael's! Don't compare yourself to your friends Calum. I don't care if you don't have a six pack and purple hair. I love you for you. Don't try and change for anyone. Were you trying to cover up by wearing that?" you smiled slightly.
"Maybe" Calum said.
You didn't say anything, but you just kissed Calum and removed his t-shirt.
Lets just say you showed Calum how much you loved him that night.
