I remember you driving to my house in the middle of the night, I'm the one who makes you laugh when you know you're 'bout to cry.
I was awoken by the sound of pebbles banging off my bedroom window. I peered across my shoulder to discover it was 2am. 'Who would bother throwing stones at someone's window at 2am?' I asked myself silently.
I got up and approached my window. I pulled across the beige, linen curtain and opened the glass window.
I looked down and saw a tall figure standing on my front lawn staring up at me. It was Luke.
"Luke! What are you doing?" I whisper-shouted. No one was home so I didn't have to worry about getting caught but I didn't want to wake up the neighbourhood at this time of night.
"I was hoping I could talk to you" Luke said, whispering softly.
I shut my window, grabbed a hoodie and made my way downstairs. I opened my front door and welcomed Luke in.
"Luke it's 2am on a mid-Decembers night! What were you doing out in the freezing cold?" I hurriedly asked while putting the kettle on to make some tea for us.
"I just-I didn't know where to go." He stuttered.
"What do you mean? Were you not at home?" I asked again.
"Well I was and then Isabelle called and asked me to meet her at her house so I drove there. My parents are out so I didn't have to sneak out. When I got to her house, she was standing at her door waving off people from a party she just hosted. I party I wasn't invited to. Y/N I'm her boyfriend and she has house parties and doesn't invite me! She's probably after cheating on me more times then we have actually got together ourselves! She's such a little bi-" Luke said before I cut him off.
"Hey, don't say anything you'll regret! But you're right, she should've at least told you!" I agreed.
Luke sighed and rested his head back on my recliner.
"Sometimes she just really annoys me" He huffed.
"Yeah sometimes this blonde guy wakes me up at 2am by throwing rocks at my window, tells me his problems and annoys me too!" I said sarcastically.
Luke knew I wasn't being serious.
"Oh wow, I wonder who that guy is" Luke laughed.
I smiled.
Luke shouldn't put up with Isabelle's shit all the time. If only he knew that there was someone else so close to him that would love him with all her heart and never cheat or lie to him. Thing is, he didn't know and he never will.
