You say you're fine, i know you better than that, hey what ya doing with a girl like that?
"Calum, what's wrong with you? You haven't been yourself the past few days" You asked Calum, across the diner booth, constantly sipping on your milkshake.
"Nothing's wrong Y/N! I'm fine, okay?" Calum said in a more angry tone than before.
Calum had called you earlier to see if you would go out and spend the day with him. Being his best friend, of course you said yes! Calum hasn't talked or laughed much since you got to the diner and he won't tell you what's wrong. He says he's fine but you know him better than that.
"Calum, I'm not trying to annoy you but asking the whole time, but if there's something wrong you can tell me! I am your best friend, remember?" You told Calum.
Calum sighed and looked up at you.
"It's Sarah"
You nodded, knowing beforehand that it was more than likely about her.
You raised your eyebrows, signalling him to continue.
"She's just all 'Oh let's party and get drunk' and 'hey, you wanna hook up now?' and Y/N, you know I'm not that wild! Like yes, I do enjoy parties and getting laid but she always just seems to do what she wants to do and never let's me have a say in anything and I talked to her about it and she shouted at me and now I'm here, and I don't have I clue what to do" Calum spoke.
"Calum, why would you waste your time on a girl like that?" you asked him, wanting to know the answer.
"Because I love her." He replied.
Okay, those words made your heart shatter into a million pieces.
"You're both different Calum, you should be with someone who you can be yourself around! Someone who will listen and do what you want to do. Someone caring and loving and someone who won't bail on you to go shopping for the newest in-fashion shoes!" I tell him, remembering the time Sarah bailed on Calum for their date to buy shoes.
Calum nodded and sighed.
"You know what?" he asked.
"What?" I asked back.
"That someone, sounds like you"
