Chapter 21- Explanations

Alec POV:
"Well..."I said, this was not how I had expected to tell them that me and Magnus didn't break up but oh well 'no time like the present' I think to myself, so me and Magnus spend the next 30 minutes explaining what happened and by the end they all seemed really confused and clearly Magnus saw this as well because he said "Why do you guys look so confused we've explained it as best as we can?" after a bit of silence Isabelle spoke up "It's just why go through all that trouble to break up if you knew Camille's plan all along why not just tell her that you knew and stay as a couple?" she said and everyone else murmured their agreement "because if we didn't break up Camille would keep trying her plans to break us up and we would never here the end of it." I said and they all seemed to understand a bit better but it didn't last long because Isabelle noticed the bruise forming on my face from where Sebastian hit me "Alec, your face, what happened?" she questioned and then everyone's eyes fall onto me and I started to feel really self-conscious "Well... uhh Sebastian kind of beat me up while I was leaving school." "WHAT!" Isabelle yelled and I winced from how loud she was being "Isabelle it's fine it doesn't hurt that much" That was a lie it hurt really badly but I wasn't about to tell her that. "Are you sure you're okay?" she asked again and I smiled and how concerned she was being and I brought her in for a hug "Yes Izzy I'm fine now it's time for you guys to go Magnus' parents will be back soon." I said and they all nodded and came over to hug me and Magnus and say their goodbyes.

Magnus POV:
Once Alec's siblings left I turned to Alec and gave him a soft kiss on the lips and said "what do you want to do now, beautiful?" He blushed "Umm... I don't know, how about we start making dinner for your parents?" He suggested and I just nodded and we made our way over to the kitchen, on our way over I heard Alec wince in pain and I quickly turned around and cupped his face with my hands "are you okay darling, do you need some pain killers?" I asked worriedly, because he said that it didn't hurt to Isabelle but maybe he was lying. "Yes please I have a massive headache." He said so I went into the kitchen and grabbed some ibuprofen and filled a glass with water and handed it over to Alec, he mumbled his thanks and took the pills and as he drunk the water I noticed some scars on his wrist and I inwardly gasped but I didn't voice or show my concern I would ask him about it later, because he seems to be getting really tired "Hey how about we take a nap before we make dinner, my parents won't be home for at least another hour." I said and he just nodded and we made our way upstairs into my room, while Alec went into the bathroom to get changed I quickly changed into my PJs and got under the covers. When Alec came out of the bathroom I moved up so we could cuddle, and that's how we fell asleep, wrapped in each other's arms.
