Chapter 30 - You're A natural

Alec POV:

After talking with Magnus about my worries I felt calmer and more relaxed so we made our way into the range, hand in hand, and found a section that wasn't too crowded and as Magnus took a seat on the bench nearby I grabbed my bow and concetrated on the target, I relaxed my muscles and pulled the bow back and let go and suprisingly enough it hit the bullseye first time, I was so in my element I didn't realise Magnus was clapping and cheering at me until I looked over at him and I felt myself blush "Go again! Alexander that was amazing" Magnus said and I was speechless so I just went over and grabbed another arrow and shot into the target next to it, it also hit the bullseye, I jut kept going until I ran out of arrows and they somehow all hit the bullseye I didn't realise I have gathered an audience until I hear loads of cheering and clapping and I turned around to see almost everyone from the range staring at me in awe and jealousy.

Magnus came running over to me and placed a quick kiss to my cheek "Alexander, dear that was amazing, you're a natural!" He said and I felt myslef blush again but before I could respond someone came over to us. "Hi, sorry to interupt but I was just watching and I must say you are, dare I say, one of the best archers out there, how would you feel about doing this on a professtional level." the stranger asks and I became speechless 'someone actually thinks i'm talented, not just Magnus' It seemed I must have zoned out becuase magnus and the stranger were both looking at me concerned "uh..uhh w-who are you." I managed to stutter out and I felt Magnus' hand on my back trying to calm me down "Oh i'm sorry I didn't introduce myself my name is Mr Verlac, and I work for young and upcoming sports personell and I would love to have you on my team, now you don't have to answer right now but please give me a call when you decide." Mr Verlac said and handed me a business card, I was too start-struck to say anything so I just nodded and shook his hand then he left.

After a while people seemed to go back to their various activities and It was finally just me and Magnus and when I turned to look at him he pulled me in to a passionate kiss with, after a second of shock, I melted into the kiss and the kiss seemed to last forever until I ran out of oxygen so I had to break the kiss but that didn't stop Magnus from pulling into a hug, I melted into it. "I'm so proud of you Alexander." He said, muffled by his head resting on my shoulder and I felt, for the first time in my life that I have no regets and wouldn't change this for anything, not even nice parents.

Magnus POV:

After that shocking evening at the archery place, we decided to go back home and relax, when we reached our house Alec immediatly went to go take a shower, I decided to make us, and my mum, dinner. I decided on a nice and easy chicken stir fry and as I was dishing up Alec walk into the kitchen, his shirt slightly damp from his wet hair, and I felt my breath quicken, he looked so hot, I didn't voice my thoughs jus placed our food onto the table and placed my mums food into the microwave to keep cool for when she gets home.

After eating in confortable silence I decided to bring up the topic of Mr Verlac "So... do you think you will take Mr Verlac up on his offer?" I ask and I see Alec face change into surprise to confusion "Well, I don't really know becuase I still have school and exams coming up, it become too much, you know?" He said and I sort of got where he was coming from "Yeah I guess you're right, but oppotunities like this don't happen very often Alexander, So maybe just call them and talk to them, ask then some questions and go from there? I suggest and I see him nod but I can see he still isn't full convinced "How about you call Isabelle and ask for her opinion?" I say becuase maybe a third opinion would help him decide "Yeah, that might help, but i'll call her in the morning, i'm just really tired right now so i'm going to head into bed." He said and got up from his chair to put the bowls into the dishwasher." Okay, I'll be up in a minute" I say and he nods before giving me a quick kiss "I love you" "Love you too" and then Alec's gone. I quickly wite a note for my mum telling her about the dinner and jump into my shower before heading to Alec's room and falling asleep in him arms "Aku cinta kamu" I whisper into the darkness of hte night.
