(Trigger warning, depressing topic)
Tugging on my grey jumper sleeves, bringing my wrist up to my face, drying my eyes, then hissing in pain as I accidentally scrapped my cuts.
"Is death miles away?" I choke out, catching a glare at myself in my phone's reflection. Scoffing slightly at the sight of myself.
"Ugly..." I groan, seeing a needle in the corner of my eye, turning my head to look at it. Reaching my arm out, picking it up and I hold it in front of my face, watching the gleam from the light reflect off the shiny object. Bringing it down to my arm, pressing the object down into my flesh, and I drag it along, watching the blood bead up from the gaps in my skin. Biting my lip, feeling the tears prick up in my eyes. I keep making cuts, one deeper than the last before I scream at the top of my lungs, throwing the needle away from me before breaking down into tears.
"I can't take it anymore" I sob into my bear.
"It's all my fau-" I get cut off by the catchy ringing tone of my phone. Picking it up, reading the caller ID. I gulp. It's Ari. I take a couple deep breaths to calm down before clicking the "Answer" section. Sniffling a couple times before I bring the phone up to my ear.
"H-Hello?" Way to go Harley. She probably now knows that you've been crying. Idiot.
I hear her sigh, feeling the tension in the air.
"Harlz. Come to the brooke. Now"
Then she hangs up abruptly.
Dropping my hand from my ear, stuffing my phone into my pocket, I then adjust my clothes before wandering out the house. Heading down for the brooke near the river
Espo.
An hour later.
Sighing. That talk with Ari was boring and didn't interest me in the slightest. And quite frankly, I didn't know why I needed to know.
Keeping my head down as I walk, hearing the crunching of leaves underneath my feet, unable to see where I'm going due to the winter time zone, 8pm.
That's when I suddenly came in contact with a hard surface, face planting it before being shot backwards. A tightly forming grip on my wrist, supporting me in mid air.
And that's when I looked up, and saw who it was, using just the moon lit eyes and body outline. I was able to figure out who it was. Those shimmering brown eyes that not even I could miss.
"...Cody?"
