Henry really loved this movie. It's just so romantic and the music is so beautiful. Just the idea of a couple who is perfect for each other. Henry idealized the idea, despite it's futility.
Now he's watching it from the comfort of Theodore's arms. He wanted to be completely enveloped by teds arms. Thats very unrealistic however.
The movie ended.
"Get a room!" Emma threw a pillow at Henry and Ted. Emma you bitch.
"Yeah cut the canoodling!" Paul and Emma laughed like hyenas. Don't tell then what to do!
"You're one to talk!" Ted threw a pillow back at them. Ted you adorable dumbass don't engage them.
"You want to go?" Emma stood up armed with a pillow. Jesus Christ. The nice moment was officially killed.
Ted was still holding Henry. Henry didn't want him to move! Can't they just stay like this! Theodore stood up holding a pillow armed for battle. God damnit.
"You two are five years old." Henry was a little upset that Ted let go of him to challenge Emma.
"I have to defend your honor!" Ted joked. At least he's enjoying himself.
"I do not need you to defend my honor, Theodore." Henry grabbed a pillow. If you can't beat them join them. Henry didn't really mean to create any tension.
"Is that so." Ted redirected his fake aggression towards Henry. The two men got very close to each other.
"You guys are adorable." Paul commented from the side.
"Fuck off paul." Ted was still in Henry's face. Very close to Henry's face in fact. Henry knew if he blushed to much that would be showing weakness.
"Go make out somewhere else. I need to make a romantic birthday dinner for my boyfriend." Emma threw a pillow in between Henry and Ted's faces.
"What you're kicking us out already!" Henry turned a way from Ted. That does not mean he surrendered! He just disengaged, Theodore did not win!
"Yes I'm kicking you out already!" Emma started picking up thrown pillows. Henry picked up a couple as well.
Where are they going to go now?
"Happy birthday paul." Henry patted paul's back and grabbed his things from the kitchen counter. It feels like he just got there!
Ted and paul bro-hugged. Emma shoved Henry and Ted out of the apartment. Suddenly the two men were outside the apartment building.
"So uh" Ted looked like he was deciding what to do.
Henry kissed Ted. Maybe he can get that nice moment back.
"I wanted to do that the whole movie."
Henry realized they were is a public area.
"Follow me."
"Where are we going?" Ted wasn't putting up a fight but he looked a little concerned.
"My apartment." Henry knew how he was coming off. He just kept pulling Ted along in the direction of his apartment. Thank god it's close.
"Why?"
"Because were in public." Henry shouldn't be allowed to watch romantic movies. Maybe getting kicked out was for the better.
"Oh." Henry didn't have to look back to know Ted was blushing.
They had reached Henry's apartment building in record time. Henry led Ted up the stairs and finally to Henry's apartment. Henry practically kicked the door open.
"This is a nice apar-" Ted was cut off.
Henry didn't exactly know what came over himself. Get a hold of yourself Hidgens. Nah. This is better.
Ted pulled away from Henry's lips.
"Are you drunk?" Ted had a concerned look in his eyes.
"No" Henry put his arms around Ted waist. It's been a while since he was this close to someone.
"Are you ok?" Theodore looked uncomfortable.
"Are you?" Henry wasn't really expecting this reaction Ted.
"I feel like something is wrong." Ted looked sincere. But what does he know! Henry pulled away he walked over and sat on his couch. Fucking movies giving Henry a false sense of confidence.
Why is everyone always concerned? Henry is a grown adult! Jesus Christ!
"Oh, there's that voice with the promise of sin
And oh, those lips are the promise of bliss
And I know that your embrace
Is a treacherous place
There's danger in your kiss," ted sang quietly. Henry didn't know what he was trying but it's not going to work.
"This is the face of a man
A guy could easily worship for all of his days
But a man could as easily lose his sanity
Deciphering your gaze." Henry could heat Ted getting closer. It's just so so much. God.
Ted kneeled down in front of Henry.
"Henry, what's going on?" Ted's voice was so soothing.
"I don't know." Henry really didn't. His brain chemistry must have been thrown into an imbalance. Henry didn't know what caused it though.
"How are you?"
"Not great." Henry tried to clear his mind.
"Do you know why?"
"No."
"Do you want to be alone."
"No." Henry wanted Ted to stay. Being alone right now just sounds bad.
Ted sat down next to Henry on the couch. Henry laid down on Theodore's lap. He felt tears wheeling up in his eyes. God damnit What's wrong with him? When Henry got all of the tears out, he sat up. Ted had been waiting patiently. Why does he care? It's nice that he does though.
"Are you feeling better?" Ted put his hand in Henry's shoulder.
"Yes." It does feel good to just cry yourself out sometimes.
"Good." Ted smiled sweetly. He stood up.
"Don't leave please." That sounded so pathetic.
"I won't," Theodore pulled out his phone, "I'm going to order some food. You should eat." He sat back down next to Henry.
"Did you know that Northside delivers?"
"They do?" Thats not a thing that diners commonly do.
"They don't actually but Rosie's shift is ending soon and I'm going to have her bring it to us." Ted laughed. Henry didn't laugh though he appreciated what he was trying to do.
Henry hugged Ted.
"Thank you,"
