lvl 14: welcome

A/N

i will be creating profiles for Tzuyu and the new characters being met in this chapter

Tzuyu leads me out into the commons where fresh food is being made. I can smell the aroma of eggs and pancakes. I smile as I watch people seated at tables, eating as if the world isn't doomed outside of these walls. I turn to Tzuyu who is smiling as she looks at the bagels, fruits, and bread being served.

"It feels so..," I say but Tzuyu interrupts.

"Normal? Happy? Safe?" Tzuyu turns to me and we both start laughing.

I hear Tzuyu's name being called in the distance and I turn to see a group of girls at a table together. They all look near my age and are all respectfully the most beautiful people I've ever seen. They are all waving at Tzuyu with smiles as they eat their bread and drink their juice. I turn to see Tzuyu also waving back with a smile.

"C'mon," Tzuyu says and drags me to their table. I uneasily follow, feeling shy and awkward as I am. "Guys! This is one of the new people who moved in yesterday," Tzuyu introduces me.

"I'm Hana," I wave shyly with a smile. "Hi."

"Hi!" They all wave and smile. They go down to the table as they introduce themselves.

"I'm Jihyo," The girl with the sparkling big eyes greets. Her charming and unique face is very distinctive and welcoming.

"Nayeon," The girl with straight, long hair waves to me with the most beautiful smile.

"Mina," She waves at me with the sweetest and charming face.

"Jeongyeon," Her signature short hair and cute face smile.

"Momo," Her big eyes and daring look makes you shiver yet her smile is very friendly.

"Dahyun," She has the most adorable face and smile.

"Chaeyoung," Her beautiful doe eyes smile as she introduces herself.

"You guys were all friends before the outbreak?" I ask, curious of how close they all look.

"Dahyun, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, and I were having a sleepover together when the outbreak occurred," Jihyo explains. "We met Mina and Momo while we were out scavenging for resources. Chaeyoung and Tzuyu were our friends but they were in school while everything was happening so we saved them."

"That's crazy," I react.

"HANA!" I hear my voice being called and turn to see my sister running over to me with a bagel in her hand. "Look they have bagels!" She exclaims. I laugh at my sister and so does everyone else.

"This is Sana, my older sister," I introduce. "Get to know the girls, they're really nice. I should get some food."

I excuse myself from the table and get up to grab some food. I make my way to the breakfast counter and look at the food through the glass. I feel an arm around my shoulders and look up to see Hyunjin with a tired smile. I blush as he rests his head on mine.

"Are you going to get food?" I ask as I try not to melt into his arms.

"What are you getting?" He asks with the most scratchy voice.

An intercom turns on which surprises Hyunjin and I. We look up to hear a familiar voice on the speaker.

"May the following residents please report to the second floor after breakfast,

Kim Woojin, Bang Chan, Lee Minho, Seo Changbin, Hwang Hyunjin, Hwang Yeji, Han Jisung, Felix Lee, Kim Seungmin, Yang Jeongin, Minatozaki Sana, Minatozaki Hana, Shin Ryujin."

Please report to the second floor immediately after breakfast."

The intercom turns off and I look up at a curious Hyunjin. I look back at Sana and see her conversing with the eight girls we met before.

"Why would they want to see us?" I question with a concerned tone. Knowing what they do during the night while everyone's asleep gives me doubts about how safe this place really is.

"They probably just want to assign us jobs," Hyunjin says. I sigh and nod as I try to calm myself down. Felix approaches us as Hyunjin and I finish getting food.

"Hana," Felix says in a low, dark voice. "Make sure they don't see your bite," He whispers.

I look down at my concealed arm and nod slowly, I could feel my head getting hot from the anxiousness. I sigh as I sit with my group. They all speak about what they might be called down for while I forcefully stuff food into my mouth even though I've lost my appetite after that announcement. I continue to eat as if I am not affected but then feel a hand reach for mine under the table. My leg is constantly shaking under the table as I think of what could happen after breakfast. What if they realize I'm bit? Would they run experiments on me too? Would they abuse me?

I notice Hyunjin glancing over at me for very few seconds as he speaks to the rest of the group. He notices my nervousness. I send him a small smile, trying to hide my frightened self. I look down and see Hyunjin lock his hands with mine to help calm me down. My leg stops shaking as Hyunjin's thumb strokes the back of my hand to comfort me. I feel my face get red and look up to see Hyunjin continuing to casually talk as he holds my hand.

[now it's noisy,

Once everyone finishes their food, we clean up and head upstairs. Changbin and Hyunjin are beside me as we passed by the group of girls I met before. They all throw me a thumbs up which makes me smile and less stressed. I follow Chan up the staircase as the rest of the group does. We all enter through the door of the second floor slowly and cautiously.

"Good morning, everyone!" JYP greets us as he guides us into a room with a long table inside. He sits at the far end of the table while we all sit on the side. Chan takes the other far side of the table. "You all are probably wondering why you all were called today."

He joins his hands together and sets them on the table. We all glance at each other with uneasy expressions. I breathe heavily as I avoid eye contact with JYP.
