Hana's POV

I watch from afar as Jae aids Ryujin with Yeji by her side to make sure she is okay. For some reason, I feel so much sympathy for her and pity her situation. Ryujin does not like to feel weak. She is such a strong girl.

After everyone greeted us back, we all have been awkwardly silent after what happened with Ryujin. I sit in a corner by myself in silence. Yeji walks over to me and I give her a pity smile as she sits beside me. Ryujin is resting now.

"How is she?" I ask her. I could notice Yeji's red eyes from crying.

"She's okay. She said she didn't know what she was doing," Yeji sighs and then plays with her hands to cope. I take her hand in mine and hold it tight to comfort her.

"At least she is fine now," I tell her. "Having something like hearing being taken away from you is hard and mentally exhausting," I try to change the topic to get her mind off of what just happened. "Jae said he could try to study our blood to see what makes someone immune."

"We?" Yeji repeats.

"You said you had a seizure too. You might be immune," I say. "Just in case."

"How many people are immune?" Yeji asks. "Isn't it weird how all of us are immune and are all in the same group? I mean, what are the odds?"

"Maybe, it's fate or destiny. I don't know," I say and shrug. "Thank goodness that we're all together now though."

"What if Hyunjin was never immune?" Yeji brings up a question that I have no answer for. I sit there silently and look over at him. Hyunjin is talking to Jihyo and Woojin. I sigh and look down at my bitten arm. What if he wasn't meant to be immune?

"Maybe it doesn't run genetically," I mutter. "Cause' I injected my blood into Hyunjin's. Does that mean I could do that with anyone? Shouldn't there be some type of limit?"

"I think this is a kind of discussion we should have with the whole group," Yeji says and I nod in agreement.

I gather everyone in a circle, except for Ryujin who is resting in one of the practice rooms. Hyunjin sits beside me with Yeji on my other side.

"What did you want to discuss, Hana ?" Woojin asks me.

I explain all of the things Yeji and I touched upon in our conversation. I talked about our theories about immunes and how one can be immune and to what extent we can use our powers. Jae said that he will look into our hypotheses once we finish our discussion. As of right now, the only people who we know for sure are immune are me, Felix, Wonpil, and Hyunjin. We are still figuring out why though. Why are we all in the same group and how did we all turn out immune?

[Inside my head too many questions

just got me thinking what's my question]

Young K's POV

I run with Sana in my arms through the woods. I wished that we had one of the superhumans with us to help because I could not hold onto Sana for much longer and run at the same time without feeling like I'm about to collapse. We stop when we reach a cabin. It is getting dark and it is our only source of protection as of right now.

Changbin checks if it is clear and notices familiar items inside the cabin. We knock on the door and wait for someone to answer. Suddenly, the door opened and the first face we saw was Jeongyeon.

"Seung-" Jeongyeon pauses in between her words and her eyes grow wide in shock. She covers her mouth in surprise and immediately lets us in once she sees Sana, unconscious, in my arms.

"What happened?" Tzuyu asks once I lay her down on the couch.

"She got shot in the shoulder," I say. I notice Jisung and Changbin's heads both look down at the floor, avoiding contact with anyone and not even greeting anyone.

"Where did you guys come from?" Jeongin asks. "Did you find Hana or Seungmin or Chaeyoung?"

"Yes, they were in the Sanctuary," I explain and then everyone's faces turn pale. "I will explain later, we need to help Sana."

"We don't have Jae here to help us this time," Dowoon points out. I sigh and then rip my shirt so I can tie it on Sana's shoulder so that it can stop the blood flow. I try to listen for her heartbeat and watch her chest rise slowly.

"She's still breathing," I say.

"For how long though? She could turn any minute," Jeongyeon says and runs her fingers through her hair in distress.

"She wasn't bit though," Changbin finally speaks up and defends her life. "We can't do anything until she turns."

"I can try to disinfect it," I offer. "I've learnt some stuff from Jae."

"Okay, but if she is not awake by morning, we have to do something about it," Jeongyeon says. I sigh and then start to disinfect Sana's wound. I hope she wakes up. Please.
