Hana's POV

We arrive at the Sanctuary as the sun rose after a long night. I sigh and look at Felix who is beside me. Felix notices that I'm nervous as I look at the hospital building filled with bad memories.

"I'm going to kill him," I say, which stuns Felix. "I don't care if he is taking Yeji's blood for the good of everyone or if he wants my blood to create a cure, he killed Chan, Nayeon..," I meet eyes with Felix. "Minho... You don't talk about him a lot and I know you don't want to but it's okay to be sad that he's gone," Felix sighs. We are sitting on top of a tree as we look down at the Sanctuary.

"It's not that I'm not sad..," Felix first says. I could tell that he has been holding this in for a long time. "It's just... I feel empty. Like, I can't show how I'm feeling because my heart is so hollow without him... alive," Felix looks down and sighs.

I frown at how broken he must have been feeling all of this time. I wrap my arm around him and rest my head on his shoulder. I pat his back as we look at the hospital building.

"We're going to end this," I say.

"Thanks," Felix says.

"Thanks? For what?" I ask him.

"I see why everyone in the group likes you. There's a reason we don't want you to be extracted for a cure. You really are something special, and not just because you're immune," Felix confesses. I smile at his kind words.

"Thank you," I say and hug him.

We hear voices from below while sitting in the tree. I pause and turn my head to look at who it is. Felix looks as well and points when he sees three girls walking right under us. They don't notice us in the tree as they head towards the Sanctuary. I squint, analyzing the girls more and notice one of them is injured. She wraps her arms around her two friends beside her as they walk, lifting her left foot to minimize the pain of using it.

"She's hurt," I say. Without thinking, I climb down from the tree.

"Wait, Hana," Felix whispers but I have already made it down the tree. I run over to the girls and stand in front of them. They all freeze in their tracks, looking at me with confused faces. One has a stern look though, she looks like the eldest.

"Excuse me," The one with the grim look says and continues walking with her injured friend.

"Your friend is hurt, what happened?" I ask. The girls stop walking again. They look younger than me except for the eldest one. We are probably the same age. Felix makes it down from the tree and stands beside me.

"What is this?" One of them says looking around and taking out her gun.

"We are not here to hurt you," I assure them. "I just wanted to see if you guys are okay."

"We're fine," The eldest says. I smell blood. I look at her friend who's ankle is bandaged up.

"What happened?" I ask. I notice the injured girl is very pale and worn out. After I speak, the other girl whispers to the eldest one. I look at Felix and he shrugs.

"What is your name?" The eldest asks me.

"Do names matter at this point?" I question. The eldest girl frowns and sighs.

"We can handle ourselves," She simply says and continues walking. She passes by us with her two friends without saying another word. I meet eyes with Felix who just looks unphased.

"Maybe they're fine on their own. We have to stick to the task at hand," Felix reminds me. I stare at the three girls walking down the road.

"I smelled blood," I say. "She must be really hurt," Felix sighs, knowing I won't let this slide. Before Felix says another word, I hear a familiar voice. I turn to Felix. "Did you hear that?"
