Hyunjin's POV
"Don't freak out," Young K tries to calm me down but the burning pain inside of my chest just thinking about Hana being hurt makes me so anxious and paranoid.
"She could be hurt. She didn't even leave a note. Hana wouldn't have just left," I babble in fear.
I pace the floor of the trailer as I run my fingers through my hair. Yeji bites her nails in worry until a journal on the table catches her eye. She walks over and slowly opens it as she flips through to the latest entry.
It's been four months since the outbreak began. Although the world is just waste now, the people I have beside me have made my days better. I am thankful for every single one of them. We're apart now. It scares me not knowing they're alive.
Hyunjin and I found Yeji and Young K today. I am grateful our paths crossed again. I hope we can find the others soon.
The bond between Young K and Yeji has grown close since we all got separated weeks ago. It makes me happy that Yeji has broken out of her shell, especially since it's Young K who she has grown close to.
I haven't gotten any sleep in months. It still scares me why I have lost the ability to sleep. I feel like it has to-
There's someone outside. I'm going to check it out. If anything happens to me, there is an obvious suspect who could've taken me.
I watch Yeji read Hana's journal and feel my heart race as chills go down my spine. I stop whining and wait for Yeji to finish reading. She pauses and closes her eyes in fear. I walk over to her in worry and rest my hand on her shoulder.
"What did she write?" I ask. Yeji slowly looks up at me and sighs.
"I think someone took her," Yeji says and then looks over at Young K with worried eyes. "I think it's JYP."
I don't know what went over me but I stormed out of the trailer. I didn't grab anything to take with me and recklessly started running to find her. I hear my name being screamed out by Yeji and Young K who can't match my speed. I block out their voices and continue running. I won't let that son of a bitch touch Hana.
Seungmin's POV
"I don't even know which direction I should look in," I sigh and continue walking through the forest. I trudge through the forest as if I'm following a broken compass. "Do you think someone took him?"
"There could be endless possibilities of what happened to him," Chaeyoung tells me as she walks beside me. "But if someone did take him..," Chaeyoung meets eyes with me. "They must be bad people."
I hear a deadly moan and tense up. I hold Chaeyoung's arm to stop her from walking into danger. I look around and see a zombie lurking upon us. I grab the pocket knife from my back pocket and bring Chaeyoung behind me. I stab the zombie in the forehead and let it fall to the ground. I look back at Chaeyoung who looks stunned.
"Are you okay?" I ask her in worry. Her big, brown eyes look up at me in shock.
"I'm fine," She says calmly and then smirks a little. "You know I could've done that myself," Chaeyoung smiles and continues walking leaving me speechless. I catch up to her and she smiles when she notices my return. "What were you doing before the outbreak?" Her sudden change in conversation catches me off guard.
"Uh, I was studying foreign studies. I wanted to be an interpreter or a translator," I explain.
"You know English?" Chaeyoung asks me.
"Yeah, I know how to speak a little," I say in English and Chaeyoung looks at me, astonished.
"Woah!" She says in awe. "Say something else," She hits my arm as she asks.
"What were you doing before the apocalypse?" I ask in English. Chaeyoung pauses and tries to comprehend my question. I smile at how confused she looks and laugh a little. She looks up at me with an annoyed face and frowns. "Sorry," I switch back to Korean. "What were you doing before the apocalypse?" I ask her in our native language.
"Oh!" Chaeyoung reacts and I laugh again. She gives me a look and I stop laughing and clear my throat. "I was studying the arts. I love writing but also love drawing. I went to school with Tzuyu. She's an exchange student from Taiwan. I help her with Korean. She's still learning," Chaeyoung explains, her eyes twinkling in excitement. "Maybe you can tutor her!" I look at Chaeyoung with doubtful eyes.
"I don't know," I say shyly. "I could try," Chaeyoung jumps in happiness.
"Yay!" She says. I smile at how cute she is. Being with her is making me forget that we're in an apocalypse. I finish zoning out once Chaeyoung starts waving her hand in my face. "Are you okay?" I nod.
"Uh, we should hurry and find Sungjin," I say.
[voices that are tormenting me,
are crying out again]
Hyunjin's POV
I start to become dizzy the more I run. I pause to catch my breath and fall to the ground. Why is my head pounding? I feel my eyes getting heavier but I force myself to get back up. I breathe heavily as I walk forward. I have to save her. I have to. I start to hear a loud ringing in my ear which makes my head hurt more. I cover my ears as I try to calm myself down. I close my eyes as the ringing starts to pierce through my brain. What the fuck is happening to me?
The ringing declines as I slowly open my eyes again. I see fog around me and can't see anything. I look around me as I try to find a way out. I try to retrace my steps but don't remember where I came from. I hear murmurs and whispers.
"Stop!" I scream and then try to run out to a clearer area but fail. There is fog everywhere. "Stop!" I scream. "Help!"
"Hyunjin!" My name is called and I look around. "Hyunjin!" I hear my name again.
Jisung's POV
"Do you hear that?" Felix asks and we all look at him and shake our heads. Felix looks at Wonpil who nods. "We'll be back."
"What did you guys hear?" Changbin asks them before they try to leave. They look at each other as if they had just seen a ghost.
"What is it?" I ask in fear.
"We heard Hyunjin," Wonpil says.
