I can't sleep
What does Felix mean? Why is it bad if I sleep? Well, it's not like I have been sleeping these past weeks. The sun starts seeping in through the windows of the clothing store. The sun shines on my face as I finish my journal entry. I look back at JB who is still resting on the counter. I sigh as I put my notebook back into my bag. What if he's dead?
I stand up slowly and walk over to JB worriedly with cautious steps. I watch over JB as I stare at the bandages around his shoulder. I shake my head when I see the dried blood that has seeped through his bandage. I look around the clothing store and notice someone is missing. Hyunjin?
I see that everyone is still sleeping but Hyunjin is gone. I see no note left and start to worry. Where could he be? I was awake the whole night how did he just disappear?
"Hyunjin!" I whisper-shout as I walk slowly around the mall. I left a note for Chan in case the group begins to worry. I sigh as I continue searching for him. "Hyunjin!" I call out again.
"Looking for a cute boy?" I hear a voice ask and look behind me to see a familiar, tall girl. It's one of the girls from yesterday. She is pointing a gun at me with a smirk. I step back a little and hear another voice and look to my side to see another girl.
"She's his girlfriend?" The girl to my left is a little shorter and has a gun in her hand as well.
"She's okay pretty. Not up to his standards though," Another appears behind me, making me jump. I look in three directions in confusion and panic.
"She is so scared," All four girls have surrounded me, making me feel numb in my face as I panic.
"What did you do with him?" I question with a stern voice.
"Where is our medicine bag?" One girl with braids steps closer. She has a scary look in her eye.
"Medicine bag?" I repeat as if I'm hearing it for the first time. "I've never seen one," The girl stomps over to me and presses the end of the gun onto my head.
"You think you're smart," She snickers.
Suddenly, a gunshot echoes throughout the mall and blood splatters on my face. I cover my mouth in shock and see the girl who was threatening me, shot dead on the floor. I sprint to cover and notice Ryujin hiding behind a sofa with a gun.
"Shit, Ryujin," I whisper as more gunshots are fired towards her.
I run back inside the pharmacy where I assume the girls were staying in and try to find a weapon. A zombie sneaks up on me and I turn and grab the pocket knife I had in my back pocket and stab it in the head. I find a shotgun and sneak back outside to see more zombies. I run over to Ryujin safely.
"Ryujin, what the hell!" I say as more bullets are fired at us.
"I saw your note," She says. "You're welcome for saving your ass."
"You could've gotten killed," I tell her.
"YOU could've gotten killed," Ryujin emphasizes.
"Where are they!" One of the girls exclaim and my eyes grow wide.
"We have to get out of here!" I tell her and drag her back to the store. Chan and everyone else is still asleep once we arrive back. I hurry over to Chan and wake him up.
"Channie, we have to go!" I say. He rubs his eyes as he wakes up. "The bandits are angry."
"Bandits?" Chan questions.
"Yes, they took Hyunjin," Ryujin says.
"We have to go," I tell him. Chan gets up quickly and notices JB still sleeping.
"We can't leave him," Chan says.
"We can carry him," Changbin offers. Chan nods and then Jisung and Changbin lift up JB and bring him out to the van. I look back at the pharmacy and Chan notices the worried look on my face.
"I have to get Hyunjin," I say and clench my fists.
"You'll die," Chan says.
"You don't know that for sure," I say and shake my head. I look down at his hands and see him holding a gun and take it from him. "If I'm not back in ten minutes, leave without me," I say and then hurry back into the mall.
"Where is she?" I hear a voice and immediately duck.
"She couldn't have gotten far," Another speaks.
"She wouldn't have left you, right?" A girl says and I hear muffling which makes my heart sink and eyes grow weak. I look around and find a rock. I throw it across the hall to distract the girls.
"Did you hear that?" One of them says, taking the bait of my distraction.
"Check it," One orders. I walk closer to the voices.
I look up to see Hyunjin tied up hands and legs with duct tape around his mouth. I sigh and see one girl is with him. I notice Ryujin hiding in a store across from me and aiming her gun at the two who have just left. Shit. She can't kill anyone else today.

"Hey!"
I stand up and then the girl and Hyunjin look over at me with wide eyes. The girl points her gun at me. The two others try to run but Ryujin pops out with two guns in each hand and points them at the two. I aim the gun I took from Chan at the girl who is guarding Hyunjin.
"Give him back," I command. She scoffs.
"Where's our medicine bag?" The girl asks.
"It's gone," I say with an unsteady voice. "We needed it. You shot one of our people."
"Well, you're a threat. That's how we treat threats," She says.
"You already took out one of our people today," I beg. "Please don't take another from us."
A tear rolls down my cheek and the girl's eyes soften. She gulps and then slowly lowers her gun making the other girls do so too.
"Rosé?" One of the girls calls her. "She killed Jennie."
"You can't let them go for killing our friend," The other argues. I feel remorse towards the accident. I sigh as I think back to when her blood splattered on my face.
"Please, call this a truce. You guys won't see us again, we promise," I reason. Rosé looks at us with a contemplating face.
"I... I don't want to see anyone else die today," Rosé sighs and then takes out her pocket knife and cuts the ropes that tied Hyunjin's legs and hands. Hyunjjn stands up slowly as he rubs his wrists from the rope burns and then rips the tape off his mouth.
"Thank you," I say in an endearing tone but she only responds with a nod. I quickly run towards Hyunjin and hug him tight. He wraps his arms around me slowly and rests his head on mine. I didn't realize I was crying until Hyunjin told me to stop.
"Stop crying, Hana. I'm okay. You're okay," He says softly as I bury my face into his neck.
