Six

Monday comes and Selena is getting ready for her first day in the new school.

She put on a v-neck pink top with a black scarf around her neck and pairing with dark coloured jeans. She ties up her hair in a messy bun. She swung her backpack over her shoulders and head out where Tony was waiting for her.

Tony: You ready Sel? I'll drop you off at the administration office where you can get your class schedule. I gotta rush for class thereafter and then I'll see u for lunch?

Selena nodded in response before driving off to school.

The morning passed by uneventfully. She got her class schedule, locate all her classes with ease and even gotten to the campus bookstore to purchase some books she needed for a few of her classes.

As she was walking down, hands cluching to a couple of books and looking at her phone to text Tony about lunch, someone collided into her causing all her books to fall to the ground. She manages to catch her phone before it fell. With a frustrated sigh to her lack of focus or to the person  who collided on her, she bent down to pick up her things.

Leo: I'm sorry. Here, let me help you.

As he passed her things to her, she looked up to find a handsome looking man with gorgeous hazel eyes looking at her apologetically.

They both stood up and she fumbles slightly with her things.

Leo: I really am sorry. I didn't see you there.

Selena: It's fine. I was preoccupied with my phone to look at where I was going. I am sorry too.

He flashed her a smile and she notices he had a small dimple on his right cheek.

Leo: I have not seen you around here before. I'm Leo. (Hold out his hand to her)

Selena: Nice to meet you Leo. I should get going. Sorry and thank you again.

She started to walk past him when he called out to her.

Leo: Wait up!

Selena turned around slightly to face him.

Leo: I'm sorry. I didn't get your name.

Selena: (with a slight smile) I didn't give any.

With that, she turned and walked away.

Leo: (thinking) Wow. Who the hell is that? She is gorgeous and different.

Leo, like Nathan, is popular among the girls. He is sociable and charming. He goes out with girls a lot but never one to settle into a serious relationship. Girls throw themselves at him all the time and he digs the attention. But he will never do anything to lead them into something serious.

But this time is different. Something about this girl caught his mind and he cannot stop thinking about her.

At lunch, Tony was sitting with Leo and Nathan at a cafe in campus. That is where they love hanging out. Most students will go to the cafeteria or out of campus to grab lunch. So the cafe is not so busy.

They ordered coffee and some sandwiches and settled into a small table.

Leo was about to tell his mates about his encounter with the girl when they heard something dropped beside them. Nathan instictively picked up the books that fell and looked up to pass it to the owner when his eyes locked into Selena's.

Selena: I'm so sorry. This is the second time today.

She blushed and took the books out of Nathan's hands. They continue to stare at each other when Tony broke the silence.

Tony: Sel! Glad you found the place all right? Come here take a seat. (He patted to the chair beside him). What would you like to have?

Selena: In a moment Tony. I wanna catch my breath.

She sat down putting her stuff onto the floor and found Nathan and Leo both staring at her. She recognises Leo from the book encounter earlier.

Selena: Hi.

Tony: Oh ya. Leo, this is my sister, Selena, she is a junior. Sel, this is Leo, my other best bro. And you have met Nathan.

Selena gave a small smile to both of them and excused herself to get a coffee.

Leo stood stunned knowing this girl, whom he cannot get off his mind is actually Tony's sister. Shit. This cannot happen.

Leo: (thinking) Why??? Why must it be his sister? I finally found someone I felt different with. I know Tony will kill me.

Leo: Wait, you know his sister? (Turning to Nate)

Nathan: I met her yesterday while helping Tony out with some stuff.

I nodded grudgingly at them when Selena came back to the table.

Tony was talking to Selena asking her about her day while me Leo and Nathan sat there eating their lunch in silence. Selena notices this and shifts uncomfortably.

Selena: Tony, I gotta go. I wanna check out the library before heading to class.

Tony: Sel, give yourself a break. It is only the first day and trust me, with your grades, you can use some break.

Selena: (chuckling) Bye Tony. (Turning to Nathan and Leo). Nice meeting you guys. I'm sorry for intruding your regular lunch.

Leo: It's ok. It is a fresh change. (Winks at her)

Tony stared menacingly at Leo.

Selena gave her dimpled smile and left the cafe.

Tony: Don't you dare Leo. She is my sister.

Leo: Hey chill bro. I didn't do anything.

Tony: I know you. Leave my sister out of all those girls you have.

Nathan chuckled at them and looked down as they continue their bickering.

Nathan: (thinking) Damn, she looks even more beautiful today.
