Sixteen

Nathan and Selena has been spending a lot of time the couple weeks since they started dating. Some with the rest of the gang and the other times on their own getting to know one another a little bit better.

Leo has been a real gentleman now treating girls better. He still has not settled with anyone but he doesnt go on a flirting rampage just to sleep with anyone. Deep down, he knew he couldnt find someone like Selena but he wants to try to find someone special.

Nathan POV

Today is Friday which means its game night. Tony and Leo had football practice and so I am on my way to meet the girls at the nearby mall to give them a lift. The girls went shopping earlier to pick out a cake for Leo for his birthday.

I saw them chatting and giggling away in a cafe. I went over, gave Selena a quick kiss on the head and sat across of them.

Selena: Do you wanna grab some coffee first?

"Nah. Im good. You girls ready to go?"

Ava: In a minute. Let me finish this cheesecake.

They laughed at her and chatted a bit more to give Ava more time.

Out of a sudden, they heard a girl's voice coming towards them.

Ashley: Hi baby! (She wrapped her hands around my neck and tried to kiss me)

I managed to stop her and stared at her.

"Ashley? What are you doing here?"

Out of the corner of my eyes, I saw Selena staring at them with angry and confused eyes.

Ashley: Do I need a reason to see my handsome fiancè?

"Ashley, how did you find me here? When did you even come back?"

Ashley: I saw you walking into the cafe. I wanted to surprise you. Now if you are done mingling, let's go. I really miss u and I cant wait to you know spend more time with you alone.

I am angry that she is here and Selena had to see all this.

I took Ashley's hands and pulled her out of the cafe before she said more.

"What do you think you're doing Ash? I told you not to disturb me while Im here."

Ashley: Why? So you can go around flirting with every other girl?

"That is none of your god damn business Ash. We agreed this was professional. Purely business. No feelings whatsoever."

Ashley: Well, I changed my mind. You are my fiancè and I will claim my rights to you.

"You cant do that! I never wanted this in the first place. I dont love u!"

Ashley: Come on Nate. We both know how you feel about me. We have been together so long. (Touching his arm flirtatiously)

"No Ash! That was before I found out you were a bitch who sleeps with all my friends. Im glad I found that out about you before this went any further."

Ashley: Listen Nate. I always get what I want. And now I want you. So dont think for one second that is not happening.

With that, she stormed off.

Shit!

I ran back into the cafè to find Selena gone.

Selena POV

When I heard her calling him baby and put her filthy hands around Nate, I was furious and ready to push her off and stay away from him.

When I heard fiancè, my heart dropped and shattered into a million pieces. I couldnt process what else was happening. Nathan pulled the girl out of the cafe and talked to her outside.

I cannot be here anymore. I need air. I need to get out.

"A...vv..aaa.." I stuttered

Ava: Oh Sel, Im so sorry!

"I need to go. Please get me out of here. I cant breathe."

At this point, I was doing my best to not burst out crying.

Ava got us a cab and we went back.

When I entered the apartment, Tony and Leo were already there. They stopped short when they see my face.

I cant do this to them. I cant face them. I cant face anyone.

Tony: Sel. What happen? (He tried to be calm)

"Nothing. Im fine. (I faked a smile) Im tired. I think Ill skip game night and head to bed."

Tony pulled my arm back and stared at me.

"NO! You need to tell me what happen? Why do you look like that? Who hurt you?"

Ava pulled him away with pleading eyes to tell him not to push it.

When Tony let go, he asked me to rest and he will check up on me later.

I closed and locked my bedroom door. I sat on the bed and the waterworks started.

I cannot believe it. I trusted him. Fiancè? He is going to get married! Why am I so stupid!

I curled up in my bed and cried.

Tony: Ava, what happen? Is this about Nathan? I swear Ill kill him.

Ava was torn. She doesnt know whether it was her place to tell.

Ava: Calm down baby. It is not my place to say anything. Please just let her calm down first.

Just then Nathan came through the door which was still open.

Tony: You son of a bitch! What the hell did you do to Selena? I warned you to not hurt her.

Leo pulled him off Nathan.

Nathan: Im sorry Tony. I really need to see her. Please! Trust me man. I really need to explain to her everything.

Tony: Explain what? I wont let you hurt her again. We are mates but I warn you about her. When it comes to her I dont give a damn about you!

Leo pulled Nathan away while Ava calm Tony down.

Leo: Nate, I dont think you being here is helping. I think it is best you leave for now.

Nathan: No Leo. I have to see her. I told her to trust me and I promise I will work out my issues. I want to explain everything. Explain that I have not broken any promises I made to her.

Before Leo could say more, Selena walked out of her room upon hearing everything.

Selena: Im listening Nathan.

Her voice is disappointed but her eyes looks angry.
