Thirty Eight

Selena POV

I cant move. Why cant I move? I tried to open my eyes. Where am I?

I saw a dark room with a dimly lit stairwell. My hands and legs are tied. I tried to struggle out of it but cant. This rooms looks like a cell. Instead of a door it had a metal gate which I assumed will be locked.

A figure appeared at the gate. "I thought I heard you. So how was your nap?"

"Who are you? What do you want with me?"

He smiled at me. It was a disturbing smile. "You will know soon enough."

He went back upstairs and a few people came down and unlocked the gate. They flicked the light causing me to squint. And then I saw her.

"Ashley? What do you want with me?"

Ashley: It is not what I want with you but what your fiancè can give me in exchange for you.

"What did you do?"

Ashley: Lets just say he will have to do what I say so I dont ruin that pretty face of yours.

"You're crazy to think he would listen to you."

Ashley: Oh honey. He will do what I want. I told you to stay away from him. So now you pay.

She slapped me across the face. It stings.

"You're not going to get away with this."

She smirked and made a phone call.

Ashley: Hi Nathan baby! .. I just want you to hear how serious I am..

"Nathan! Dont listen to her. Dont give her what she wants."

She slapped me again.

"Oww!" It stung harder than the first time.

Ashley: I could give you more proof.

With that she took a knife and slice a bit of my arm. I screamed in pain.

Ashley: So dont keep me waiting. I can keep going. Maybe next time I can get one of my men to have a go with her and film it so you can watch. 10 more hours.

And then she hung up.

Ashley: Now behave yourself. Lets go.

All of them left me there still bleeding from the cut. I just sat there and cried.

Nathan POV

I started trashing everything in my way.

"FIND ME THAT BITCH!"

I will kill her. I will put a bullet through her head.

Gareth: Calm down son. We will find her. We are looking into everything.

"I will give up the business if it means saving her. There is no doubt about that."

I stormed out before he could say anything.

-3 hours later-

Leo: Nate?

I was sitting on my bed trying to figure out what else Ive missed out in finding her.

"Did you find her?" I sat up.

Leo: We have a lead.

They went back to where Mike was.

"Mike, talk to me."

Mike: Sir, we manage to track down where the BMW is. We hacked into several security system and managed to track it down. It is at an abandonned mansion in the forest.

"Lets go."

Mike: But sir, Ive recon the place with satellite imagery and nearby security cameras, it might have traps.

"Options?"

Mike: I found a sewage pipe line that leads directly to the mansion. It will be hidden and we can sneak ourselves in.

"Prepare the men for the mission. We leave in 30 minutes."

Mike: Yes sir!

Selena POV

Im scared. Its been hours. Im just glad she and her men have not been down here. Ive been tugging at the rope to try to get it loose.

"BANG!"

Shit! That sounded like gunshots.

I tried tugging at my rope again harder this time to break loose. The gate sprung opened and Ashley with another man barged in.

Ashley: Come here you bitch!

The man pulled me up, cut the ropes tying my legs and dragged me across the room up the stairwell. We were walking down a hallway into another room.

Ashley: Put your weapons down or Ill put a bullet in her head! (She yelled.)

I saw Nathan, Leo and a number of his men.

"Nathan!"

Ashley hit me again this time on my stomach. I couldnt breathe and my vision was starting to blur.

Ashley: Shut up!

She hit my back with the back of the gun and I collapsed. The last I saw was Nathan racing towards me.

Nathan POV

When I saw her falling to the ground, I couldnt stop myself. I lurge forward shooting the gun out of Ashley's hands. I kicked a man trying to tackle me and the next thing I knew I shot Ashley in the head.

I didnt care what else was happening around the room. I wanted to make sure Selena is ok and alive. I held onto her tightly while my men started to round up Ashley's men.

I carried Selena out of the place and rushed to the hospital.

"Please be ok baby."
