Fourteen

Nathan and Selena walked back to the restaurant. They have decided to tell the group about them dating. She doesnt want any complications and she dont want to keep things from Tony.

They were the first there and not long after the rest followed suit. They ate their lunch and talked for a while.

Selena: Anyway... I have something I want to share with you guys.

They looked at her in anticipation.

Selena: Nathan and I... decided to try dating.

Leo dropped the fork he was holding and stared at Nathan. Tony is wide eyed and is staring at both of them. Only Ava started smiling and clapping and came over to give Selena a hug.

Ava: Congratulations! Im so happy for you guys!

Selena: Thanks babe. It means a lot.

She looked nervously at Tony.

Selena: Tony, are u mad?

Tony: Are u happy? Does he make you happy?

Selena: Yes Tony. Very much.

Tony: Then Im not mad. Im not happy but that is my problem. I trust you.

Selena went over to hug Tony.

Leo who was silent throughout excused himself suddenly.

Nathan stood up to go after him but Selena pulled him back.

Selena: Let me Nate.

She found him by the fountain outside the hotel.

Selena: Im sorry Leo.

Leo: Im sorry for walking out like that. I guess it hit me hard getting rejected.

Selena: (touching his arm) I dont mean to hurt you Leo. In this short time, we have become such good friends. I dont want to destroy that. Your friendship means a lot to me, to Tony and also Nate.

Leo: I know. Its just that I thought maybe this time is different. I really do care about you. I really wish it was me you picked. I guess I know now how the other girls felt when I rejected them.

He smiled sadly.

Selena: Leo...

Leo: Hey... Dont worry about me Selly. I need to get over it. Ill be fine. Your friendship is enough for me. And like Tony, Ill be watching Nate like a hawk.

Selena laugh.

Selena: Thank you Leo. For everything.

She hugged him and they walked back into the resort.

They played pool for a while after lunch while having some drinks.

Tony and Ava were joking around and stealing glances at each other. Selena knows deep down they really like each other but none have the balls to admit it.

Leo suggested to have a campfire by the beach since the weather keeps up.

Selena suggested that Tony and Ava go and buy some marshmallows and drinks while we set up the campfire.

Tony raised his eyebrows towards Selena and she flashed him a sly grin.

Ava was seemingly happy with the arrangement and was practically dragging Tony to the car.

Nathan: You did that on purpose. (He chuckled)

Selena: No. I just gave him a nudge so that he can grow some balls and ask her out.

Leo: Yeah! It is so obvious they are hot for each other. Well, why dont the both of you go grab blankets. Ill get started on finding a good spot.

He winked at them and head out to the beach.

Nathan took her hand and they walked to his car.

Nathan: Thank you.

Selena: What for?

Nathan: For trusting me with your heart. I promise not to hurt you.

Selena smiled.

Nathan leaned on his car putting his hands on her waist.

Nathan: I need to tell you that things will get a bit complicated hereforth. I cant tell you a lot but I need you to trust me.

Selena inch forward to give him a gentle kiss.

Selena: I trust you Nathan.

Nathan kiss her again and this time the world doesnt seem to matter anymore.

The campfire was great and they laughed so hard their tummies hurt. They stayed till past 10 then started to pack up and head back to their rooms.

Nathan walked Selena back to her room and kiss her again before heading to his room. They have decided to take things slow and get to know each other better before getting intimate.

She changed and climb into bed thinking of how much the past few days have changed how she look at life. It doesnt take long before she fell asleep.
