Eight

As Nathan pulled into the parking lot at Tony's, he saw Leo doing the same. As all three of them stepped out of the car, neither one spoke. Selena smiled at Nathan and she walked ahead of the boys to the lobby.

They went up the elevator in silence as if they each knew what has happened earlier. When Selena walked into the apartment, Tony stepped out of the kitchen.

Tony: Hey guys. Good timing. The pizza is here. You guys came together?

Selena: Not really. Leo gave me a lift here and we met Nathan at the car park. Tony, I have a friend over later. We're gonna watch movies in my room ok.

Tony: What friend? Guy or girl?

His eyebrows raised in question.

Selena: It is a guy I just met and we plan on taking it to the second base you know what I mean.

All 3 boys stared at her and she swear she saw Nathan and Leo both clenching their fists in anger.

Before Tony starts screaming, Selena laughs hysterically.

Selena: You should see the look on your face. What do you take me for bringing a guy home with YOU here? (She winks). It's a girl silly. Her name is Ava. She is a good friend from school.

With that, she continues laughing to her room.

Tony: I swear Sel! You are seriously giving me a heart attack.

Selena turns around and smiled her intoxicating smile to them and close the door.

Nathan and Leo looked at each other and instantly knew about their feelings.

The door bell rang and Tony went to open the door. He was mesmerised by the beauty in front of him. She was about Selena's height and wore a halter top that shows enough cleavage and pair of crop pants. She has short dark hair and such plump lips.

He must be staring when she wave her hands in front of his face snapping him out of a trance.

Ava: Hey, excuse me! I'm Ava. Is Selena here?

Tony: Oh yeah! Please.. uh.. do ya.. come in!

Ava seems amused by his reaction and walked into the apartment. Selena came over to hug her and introduce her to the guys. They hang back in the living room a while more to have some pizza and chatted.

Leo: So Ava, what is your major?

Ava: Biology. I've always loved the human body parts and what it can do you know.

Tony choke on his drink upon hearing that and starts coughing.

Selena: Woah there Tony. Are u ok?

Nathan and Leo fully aware of what is happening with Tony starts laughing.

Selena and Ava are clueless.

Leo: Hey why don't we skip game night and all of us watch a movie together here?

Tony who looks flushed glared at Leo who continued to grin at him.

Selena: You sure? Ava, you ok to hang with the guys?

Ava: Ya sure! It sounds fun.

They settled comfortably with Selena siting in between Ava and Nathan while Leo and Tony took the individual seats. They picked an action movie to watch.

About halfway through the movie, Leo and Tony were heard snoring away. Ava is also sleeping resting her head on the side of the couch. Nathan felt Selena's head resting on his shoulder and saw that she too is asleep. He looked at her and starts to trace her face with his thumb.

Nathan:(thinking) God! She is so damn beautiful.

Without thinking, he kissed the top of her head and rest his head on hers. He wished time stood still and he has her by his side.

She started stirring and opens her eyes. She notices her head was on Nathan's shoulder and she jerked up hitting Nathan face.

He winced slightly holding his face.

Selena: (whispered) I'm so sorry!

Nathan waved her off smiling.

Nathan: It's ok. I'm fine.

Selena blushed and turned away. She saw the rest sleeping. She stood up and went to the cupboard to take a blanket to cover Ava. She then walked into the kitchen to get something to drink.

Nathan followed her into the kitchen.

Nathan: Are u ok?

Selena surprised, spins around too fast and almost knock onto his head.

Nathan: Woah! Easy.

Selena: Ya... ya.. I'm.. fine.

She is not fine. Her heart is pounding hard being here with him alone and all she wanted to do was kiss him.

Nathan cups her face worried.

Nathan: You know you can tell me if there is something wrong?

Selena: I really am fine. I'm... I'm... going to bed.

She didnt move. She stood there staring into his eyes and at that moment the world seems to stop.

Nathan inches down slowly and their lips met. It was such a soft kiss but it felt so right.

When they pulled back, there was such longing in his eyes for her and her for him. But they slowly pulled back, away from each other. She has tears in her eyes knowing this relationship will not work especially with Tony.

She left the kitchen and was relieved to see the rest still sleeping. She went into her bedroom, close the door and climb into bed.

She knew at that instant, she has fallen for Nathan hard and strong. She felt this strong pull towards him which she cannot explain. And from here on, it's gonna be hard.

She was crying for a bit before she finally drifted to sleep.

Nathan took his things, left a text to Tony and Leo, and left. He needed to clear his head. All he thinks about is how her soft lips taste like. How he wish to hold her tight.

He has never felt this strong connection to anyone. But with Selena, he felt it. It was clear that he has fallen for her.

With his other life in play, he dont think it is a good idea.
