Twenty One

Ginny and Selena became good friends. Selena even introduced Ava and hit it off immediately.

Turns out, Ginny got an internship for a fashion house here for 6 months. She is planning to stay and maybe complete her final year at their college instead.

Selena POV

Im waiting for Ginny at a cafe downtown while reading a book. We plan to go shopping before meeting the rest for dinner. I miss Nathan. I hadnt seen him yesterday. He said he had something important to do.

I saw someone took the seat opposite mine. I looked up and saw Ashley.

What the hell is she doing here? And what does she want with me?

Ever since our brief encounter a few weeks back, I have not seen or heard about her.

"Can I help you?" I said calmly.

Ashley: Well, Selena is it? Im Ashley. Im sure by now you know who am I.

"No. I dont know you at all. Never spoken to you before."

Ashley: Dont play dumb with me bitch. I can make your life miserable. And you wont even expect it.

I looked at her trying to stay calm but my insides are raging.

"What do you want from me then? I have nothing to offer you."

Ashley: Stay away from my fiancè. He is mine.

"Is that so? I really dont think so. Is it maybe it is in your head?"

I dont know what came over me. I just had to give that to her.

Ashley smiled menacingly. "Well, Im sure this picture will give you the satisfaction you need?"

She handed me a picture which tore my heart to pieces. It showed Nathan wrapping his arms around Ashley in bed topless. He seems to be kissing her cheek while she smiled at the camera.

It cant be. This must be fake.

Ashley: Look honey, you are playing a game you cant win. Ive got the upperhand here. And clearly, Nathan is playing with you. He has to have his fun before settling down right.

"I.. I dont believe you or this picture. You faked this didnt you."

Ashley laughed.

Ashley: That is a polaroid dumbass. Im sure someone smart like you know you cannot fake polaroids.

It is true. You cant. So that means... this picture is real.

Ashley: We took this picture last night. He came over to my place saying sorry he hasnt spent time with me and he cant wait to be married. So I took this picture to commemorate our make up sex.

I couldnt look at her anymore. My heart is ripping apart.

Ashley: Do yourself a favour and leave him. Before it is too late.

She stood up and smiled before leaving.

I had to get out of here. Im out of my head right. This cant be happening.

I took my bag and head out. I walked aimlessly till I reach a small hotel. I used the credit card my parents got me for emergency to get a room and stayed the night.

I dont want to go back where I know I will have to face him. No. Not yet.

Nathan POV

I answered my phone to a panicked Ginny.

Ginny: Nate! Is Selena with you?

"No. I thought she is meeting you?"

Ginny: Yes but she isnt here. And I saw Ashley here Nate.

I panicked. I swear that girl is nothing but trouble.

"What did Ashley say?"

Ginny: She didnt say anything. That was whats weird. She looked at me, smiled and walked away. I went into the cafe and Selena wasnt there. I asked the counter staff whether they saw her. They said she was there a while back and appeared to be talking to another girl who matched guess who?

"Ashley."

Ginny: Exactly. Oh my god! What the hell she want? I cant get Selena on her phone. She turned it off!

"Ginny, can u try Ava? See maybe she knows something? Let me try the guys."

Oh no. Where is she? What the fuck did Ashley say to her? I thought I made it clear to her last night that I am ending this engagement.

I made a phone call to the one person I trust to find someone. I normally dont resort to the same methods my father use but I need to make sure she is ok.

"Hello Mike. I need a favour."

All of them were pacing around Tony's apartment.

They were all so worried. Tony refused to look at Nathan not wanting to throw punches at him for all that is happening to Selena. But he knew Nathan wouldnt want to hurt her. He can see the love Nathan has for her.

They searched everywhere for her. On campus, in the mall, at the park. Nothing.

Tony's phone beep with a message.

He looked at it and immediately grabbed the phone. It was from Selena.

Selena's message:

Hey Tony. I cant come home tonight. I need some time to be by myself. Dont worry about me ok. Ill be fine. Ill call you soon. I love you Tony.

Ava: Tony baby? Is that Selena?

Tony tried to call her phone hoping she would answer but it was already turned off.

Nathan upon hearing this stood up.

Nathan: Where is she Tony?

Tony looked at Nathan angrily.

Tony: She didnt say. What did you do now Nate? Where is she? Where is my sister?

Before Tony reaches Nathan, Ava and Leo pulled him back.

Ginny: Calm down Tony. He didnt do anything to her. It was Ashley. That bitch will get whats happening to her. I will kill her.

Tony: (looking menacingly at Nathan) If anything happened to her, I will kill you.

With that he stormed into his room and slammed the door.

Nathan grabbed his jacket and stormed out with Ginny and Leo on his tail.

Ginny: Nate! Where are you going?

Nathan: (without looking back) I have to go look for her.

Ginny: Where Nate? We dont even know where she is. You are walking in blind here.

Leo: Ya Nate. I am worried about her too but we dont know where else to look for her.

Ginny: Come on Nate...

Nathan's phone rang and he answered.

Nathan: Mike? You found her? Text me the address now.

Ginny: Really? Mike? Are u stupid Nate?! (She said angrily)

Nathan: Im sorry Ginny. There is no other way. I have to go.

He went into his car and sped off.

Ginny: Leo, you have your car keys now?

Leo looked puzzled. "Yeah?"

Ginny: Lets go. We follow him. I dont like where this is going.
