Chapter 10: Sign (EDITED)

Miracle's POV

After eating, we went to walk around the mall, Hero said this is his first time in a mall so we decided to let him explore a bit more.

"Mama," Hero called me and I looked at him

"Yes?" I asked and stopped walking

I knelt down to his level and placed the bags down to wipe his sweat, I know a simple thing or two about children, one of those is that sweat mustn't be left to dry out or they might get cough.

I placed a towel inside his shirt and I was a bit puzzled when I noticed something on his shoulder near the back of his neck.

"Baby, what's this? Is it painful?" I asked and gently pressed the birthmark I noticed

"Hindi po." He answered

"Is there something wrong?" Zero asked and I look at him

"No, I just saw something like a tattoo." I replied and stood up

"Tattoo?" he asked

"It might just be a birthmark." I shook my head

His birthmark is a bit unusual, it's shaped like a snowflake surrounded by lightning and some weird symbols. Though if I compare it with the birthmark Hope and I have, it's a bit normal.

We continued walking until we stopped by a shop that sells items for families. Like family clothes, and stuffs like that. Hero and Zero went inside so I followed them, Hero's having fun running around but I held his shoulder when he went here to stop him from running around.

"Behave ka muna," I told him as we walk around the shop

Both Zero and I are holding something in our hands, but compared to what he's carrying, the bags I carry are lighter. While we're looking at the clothes, Hero suddenly pointed at a family set of clothes on mannequins.

I read the names on the back and it's almost correct for the three of us if only the mom's name is Miracle, but what was I thinking? We're not a family, Zero and I are just part of a group tasked to take care of Hero until he's old enough.

'Mom – Heaven' 'Baby – Hero' 'Dad – Zero'

"You want that?" Zero asked Hero

"Mama?" Hero asked me

"Hmm, gusto mo ba?" I asked him

"Ayaw na ni Hewo," he said softly and shook his head

After that, we continued looking around in the shop and ended up buying a customized Family shirt, I paid for it. The print's small and a bit noticeable. Mine has the word 'Mama' printed at the back near the neckline of the shirt and the words 'I love them' is printed in front of the shirt with Hero and Zero's name printed underneath. As for Zero's shirt, the word 'Papa' is printed at the back near the neckline as well, the print in the front is almost the same as mine only that my name and Hero's name are the ones printed. Hero's shirt has the word 'baby' printed at the back near the neckline and the words 'Mama and Papa' underneath the phrase 'I love them'. Our names are printed at the lower part at the back of the shirts.
