Summary:
Let me preface this with this statement: this show is going to be absolutely hilarious!Orenchi no Furo Jirou, or the Special Circumstances of my Bathtub, is the story of a typical high school kid named Tatsumi (Shimazaki Nobunaga) and the life he leads after discovering a merman named Wakasa (Umehara Yuuichirou) lying on the side of the beach. Like all sane people, Tatsumi ends up taking Wakasa home and “saves” his life by tossing him into his bathtub full of warm water. To his surprise, Wakasa decides to move into his bathtub, which in turn leads to a bunch of crazy things happening. Things like a half-octopus, half-man with serious handyman skills named Takasu (Suzuki Tatsuhisa) randomly coming over, to his water and gas bill literally quadrupling.

Own opinion:
I still can’t get over how much I think I’ll enjoy this show. It’s not often you find a comedic duo that works right off the bat, but the contrast between the busybody Tatsumi and the hyperactive Wakasa seems to strike all the right notes whenever they’re within twelve feet of each other. And when they’re not, there are still other elements to hold the story up as it prepares to hit us with another joke. From the mantopus Takasu to the consequences that come with awkwardly high water and gas bills, I think there’s more than enough to keep the jokes flowing. So i would definitely watch this if i were you and to all fujoshi out there!! Its like Barakamon so it has lots of hints of boys love!
