Summary:
The world-saving magical boy anime you’ve always wanted (maybe) is finally here! Binan Koukou Chikyuboueibu LOVE! is the story of five high school boys in the Binan High School Earth Defense Club, AKA the Do Nothing Club. One day, when club members Yufuin En (Umehara Yuuichirou) and Kinugawa Atsushi (Nishiyama Koutarou) are soaking in a public bath, a mysterious pink creature called Wombat (Mugihito) suddenly appears and asks them to protect the world. Now they and the other three club members—Hakone Yumato (Yamamoto Kazutomi), Naruko Io (Shirai Yuusuke), and Zaou Ryuu (Masuda Toshiki)—have to fight against mysterious creatures from outer space, as well as the Conquest Club (Student Council), as the new “Battle Lovers”.

Own opinion:
When I first read about this series, I thought “So, it’s Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru with boys?” Then I realized it was a magical boy anime. Finally, I said “It’s Sailor Moon with dudes!” There’s probably truth in all of those, especially the latter two. This definitely has a Free! feel to it, where the boys are bishie and probably moe, though Yumato is so feminine I thought he was voiced by a woman. (He’s not.) This is an original series, there’s little information available on the plot. The promos do feature the main cast bathing together a lot, and there are magical boy transformations called “Love Making,” so I wouldn’t be surprised to see some serious yaoi vibes :3, though I’d expect them to follow Free’s lead and keep it as subtext.
So make sure to expect this is a fangirl’s dream anime! And I’m sure this is a funny anime. :D
