Summary:
SHAFT makes its return this winter with a slice-of-life that focuses on good food and friendships. Going by the name Koufuku Graffiti, it’s based off of a 4-koma manga that’s serialized in Manga Time Kirara, which has also given us masterpieces such as K-ON! and Acchi Kocchi. This show follows the life of Machiko Ryou (Satou Rina), along with her friends Morino Kirin (Oogame Asuka) and Shiina (Komatsu Mikako), as they live their lives while eating a lot of delicious-looking food.

Own opinion:
While there isn’t much to say about this show since it’ll be hit-or-miss like many slice-of-life shows are, I did want to point out a few things I noticed about Koufuku Graffiti. The first being that I didn’t really get the “cute girls doing cute things” vibe from the manga, but rather I got the impression that you’ll get something substantial from it. Second, this is SHAFT! Seeing how the last thing they did was the complex story of MEKAKUCITY ACTORS a whole season ago, it’s nice to see them picking up a simple show like this. Toss in their trademark head tilts and unique style of storytelling, and maybe they’ll do something amazing with this one. I’m sure some of you are not fans of slice-of-life anime but I’m sure you guys will love this.
