ON GOING: SURGERY [ COMPLETED ]

"Ok na ako, doctor ako Isra, I know when I'm fine. I trust that the operation went well at hindi na ako magkakaroon ng internal bleeding. It's already been a day. I'm fine!" It just sucks to be sitting here all day while Warren is suffering there on his own.

I just really don't like the thought of him being in danger. At lalong ayoko na alam ko ng may masamang nangyayare kay Warren tas nakaupo lang ako dito, nag papagaling.

"Kyle! Hindi pa ikaw nakaka 24 hours dito sa ospital, it's only been 18 hours since you got the surgery! Now just lay there in bed at magpagaling ka para talagang mamaya hayaan nakitang lumabas at tumulong."  I can't help but to think na mas magiging productive ang pag iimbestiga kapag kasama ako don, not that I don't trust the police, I just want to see it for myself, I want to help in finding Warren, at mas mapapabilis yon kapag madadagdagan ang maghahanap. After all isa din akong doktor sa ospital na ito, I know some places and blindspots kung saan maaaring ginanap ang pag dakip kay Warren.

"Please Isra. I'm begging you just this once, kahit na ikulong mo ko sa bahay ng isang buong linggo pagkatapos nating mailigtas si Warren. I- I just can't sit here and do nothing for my bestfriend." Naramdaman ko na naman ang mabigat na pakiramdam sa dibdib ko, alam kong mamaya maluluha na naman ako. Everytime I think about Warren parang bumabalik ang mga alaala namin na magkasama.

Parang isa nadin sa pagkatao ko si Warren, he knows everything about me, and vice versa.

"I get that you want to save your friend badly, Kyle. Pero you should not neglect your self's safety para lang sa kaligtasan ng kaibigan mo. I told you already, my Dad is doing his absolute best to find the suspects." Then bigla kong naalala, with the mention of the suspects, may nalaman akong impormasyon na hindi ko pa nasasabi sakanila simula kagabi nung nagising ako. Nag aalinlangan akong kumapit sa kamay ni Isra at marahan syang hinila paupo sa gilid ng kama ko.

She stared at me fondly, she should not be experiencing all of these. Ang lahat ng nangyayare sakanyan, it's too much for her to handle, considering her mental health and emotional capacity, umiling nalang ako sakanya at ngumiti, I should not break her right now, maybe after all these.. ayoko ng dagdagan pa ang hirap na patong patong na nyang nararanasan sa mga araw na lumilipas.

She's a brave and strong woman, I must give her that. Kakayanin nya ang pagsubok na kakaharapin nya, alam ko at nagtitiwala akong kakayanin nya.

"Ano yon ha?" Nakanguso na sabi nya. Her innocence is a gift, she's someone anyone should treasure. Marahan kong pinisil ang kamay nyang hawak ko at ngumiti.

I am falling for this beautiful woman infront of me, and I can't help but smile at the sight of her angelic features. Even at a time like this, she manages to sooth my nerves. She became my medicine over night.

"Ikaw ha, may landi kadin palang itinatago jan! Hmp. Kiss kita jan e." A light chuckle escaped my throat as I pulled her to my chest, and lightly pressed my lips on hers.

For a moment, everything was forgotten, just me and her. Nothing else mattered. But then a loud knock enterrupted and we were both left facing the door with brows furrowed.

"Nakatakas si Isaac Perez. Pero ang good news nasundan namin sya, nahanap namin ang pinagtataguan nila."  Napatayo ako sa pagkakahiga, parang bigla akong nabuhayan ng loob. We're coming Warren. Wait for us.

Walang pag aalinlangan kong tinanggal ang dextrose ko at tumayo sa pagkaka upo ko dito sa kama. Halata ang pagkabigla nila sa ginawa ko at si Isra ang unang umalma. Agad nyang hinawakan ang nagdudugo kong kamay at tinakpan ito ng kumot kong ginamit.

"Ihatid nyo ako sa bahay, magpapa-discharge na ako." Mariin kong sabi, akmang maglalakad na ako patungo sa dereksyon kung nasaan sila Chief Montenegro pero hinila ako muli paupo ni Isra sa kama ko.

"Isra.. ok na nga--"

"Hindi! Dito ka lang!" Nanlaki ang mata ko ng bigla nalang sya nag labas ng posas at hindi ko nalang namalayan na naiposas na nya ako sa footboard ng kama. Tinry kong tanggalin pero nasasaktan ko lang sarili ko. Masama kong tinignan si Isra at binigyan nya lamang ako ng isang malamlam na ngiti.

"Sorry Kyle. Pero ayokong mapahamak ka pa.. I'm gonna handle my psychotic father okay?"

She knows. Para bang nakonsensya ako bigla ng nakita kong sandaling nag daan ang isang malungkot na ekspresyon sa kabila ng pag ngiti nya saakin. Before I knew it she was leaning in to me for a light peck.

My body stilled for a second at pinakiramdaman ang paligid ko. Did she just kissed me to calm me down? Infront of her father and other policemen? Napatingin ako sa likod ni Isra at nakita ang Daddy nya na slight na nakataas ang kilay saakin.  But I got myself to bring my attention back to her when she slightly held both my cheeks with her gentle hands.

As I settled my eyes straight to hers. I could see the pool of tears starting to form in her eyes. Then she gave me a light kiss on the forehead. After that she let go of me and moved a bit from me. With the mere distance I alread missed her touch.

"I'll be back with Warren. I promise you." She was about to turn away but my eyes will not miss the way she mouthed the last words.

'I love you.' And that made me unconsciously smile.

"Dad. Let's go."

M o n t e n e g r o

"You have alot of explaining to do tomorrow." Bahagyang nag init ang pisngi ko sa sinabi ni Daddy. Marahan ko syang hinampas sa braso at nag pa-cute bago mag salita.

"Ano ba yan Dad. Focus muna tayo sa trabaho okay?" Tsaka ako pasimpleng nanguna sa paglalakad.

Mabilis lamang kameng nakarating sa Police Station at nagtungo sa isang office kung saan naipo ang mga ebidensyang makakapag turo sa suspects.

They gathered all evidence found, isang syringe, pictures from dash cams from the cars on the parking lot basement, there were also hair strands found on the hospital that belonged to a certain Istella Perez, and suspected namin na sya ang intel ng main suspects.

My parents. My real parents are the enemy of society right now, they are a threat and needs to be contained and put behind bars for taking the lives of the innocent.

I found out, the day we rescued Kyle. Habang wala pa sa tamang pag iisip si Kyle ng dahil sa epekto ng anesthesia, it must have slipped his tongue and told me about it. He must have forget that he told me, and I think he was about to tell me earlier pero he can't, maybe he's thinking of my feelings, how my problems are all piling up.

I appreciate it all. Now I'm gonna do my promise. I'm going to save Warren.

"We've put a tracking device on him. And we found out that they are still there on the exact location where we found Loren's body. Are you all prepared to get that family of psychopaths?" Malakas at klaro na turan ni Dad. We all nod our heads and prepared our guns for battle.

I'm going to bring justice. Being your daughter doesn't mean I'm going to let your wrong be right deeds.
