God, pakiramdam ko tumalon ako sa rooftop nitong building sa sakit ng ulo ko. Minulat ko ang mga mata ko at wala akong ibang nasilayan kundi puti. I slightly panicked before everything dawned on me.

Clinic. I'm in the company's clinic. How long was I sleeping?

Bumangon ako at sumandal sa dingding. Sobrang sakit ng ulo ko, Huling naaalala ko, ay iyong pag-announce ni Miss Lilly ng bagong project na - AH SHIT.

Kaya pala ako hinimatay!

I knew Gio is behind this! I just knew it. Hindi ko ba alam kung ano ang gusto niyang mangyari. I already told him that Clyde isn't his. Ano pa ba ang gusto niyang marinig sa akin?

All my raging thoughts got interrupted when the door opened. I was expecting my friends but guess who I got, yup. Him. When will he ever stop?

"Hey, are you okay?" For a moment there he sounded really concern. He took one chair and placed in of my left side.

I rolled my eyes. Hinimatay lang ako at most probably nauntog ako sa pagkabagsak ko kaya masakit ang ulo ko pero kayang-kaya pa kitang sungitang hayop ka.

"I'm serious, Lex. You hit your head when you fainted." He continued.

Umirap ako muli sabay tingin sa kana kung saan hindi siya mahahagip ng paningin ko.

He took a deep sigh before I heard the light screeching of the chair on the floor. Akala ko nag-give up na ang loko, pero maya maya nakaramdam ako ng malamig na dumadampi sa bandang likuran ng ulo ko.

"Aray!" Pagrereklamo ko sabay tingin sa kanya.

All his playful features are gone as if they were never there. All I see was the prominent 'V' line in between his eyebrows and the shade of concern in his deep dark brown eyes. His chiseled pointy nose and of course, let's not forget those plump lips and his - what?! Stop it, Lex!

I cleared my throat and possibly my head for thinking those things about his face.

Naghihintay ako ng pang-aasar mula sa kanya pero wala. Sadyang mukhang badtrip ang itsura niya na parang may nangyari sa mga panahong natutulog ako dito sa clinic.

The silence went on for about 15 minutes while he was putting cold compress on the bump on the back of my head.

Muli siyang tumayo at isinaoli ang cold compress sa mini-ref na nakalagay sa pinaka-sulok ng silid. Akala ko kikibuin na niya ako pagkatapos noon pero wala pa rin. I am starting to feel weirdened out. May sakit kaya siya? Or nauntog din? Nasaniban? I don't know, but I am internally panicking sa mga kinikilos niya.

He again sat at the monoblack he placed on my bedside and just stared at me intently. His eyebrows creasing every now and then, as if memorizing my features.

Hangga't sa hindi ko na kinaya, malapit na ata akong matunaw sa tindi ng pagtitig niya sa mukha ko.

"Gio." I blurted out. I was hoping he would answer me and take his eyes of off me because that's all I got. Wala na akong ibang maisip na sasabihin kundi pangalan niya lang.

But still nothing.

"Bakit ka ba nandito?" I asked quietly. My voice so soft I think even an ant can't hear it.

"Let me ask you that question. Bakit nga ba ako nandito, Lexy?" Woah, the longest sentence he ever said ever since I woke up in this awkward situation.

"Magtatanong ba ako kung alam ko?" I retort.

He shook his head briefly, looked away before darting those sexy eyes back at me.

"For a mother, you sure have poor intuition." He said with a scoff. Gusto ko siyang hambalusin ng side table. Kung hindi lang talaga masakit ang ulo ko.

"Alam mo kung wala ka ng magandang sasabihin pwede ba umalis ka na lang. Hindi ko nga alam kung anong trip mo, eh. Nasabi ko na lahat ng pwede kong sabihin sa'yo. Kaya pupwede ba? Umalis ka na lang-"

"I'm here because I'm super worried god damn it!" Sapaw niya. His voice a little bit higher that the tone he usually uses. It turned me mute.

"You fucking hit your head when you fell and you were unconscious for roughly 4 hours. I opted to get you to a hospital but your friends insisted of just letting you rest here because of your fear of hospitals which I know nothing about." Then he stood up and started pacing back and forth.

Hindi ko nasundan kung anong nangyari at kung bakit siya biglang nagalit sa akin.

"You know why I'm furious? Because I should know these things. I should know what to do. But instead all I did was to panic while I watch your colleagues and friends do everything I should be doing."

He was almost out of breath when he finished. He just stood there maintaining the eye contact when I broke the veil of silence that's hugging the air out of my lungs.

"But why should you bother knowing those things, Gio? Wala naman tayong relasyon."

His confused expression contorted into disbelief before gibing, "You're unbelievable."
