Okay, so if you read chapter three before that whole funky thing went on (oh my god i almost said fucky) you should read it again because i added a scene. its a flashback, so its sort of important, but not as important as some things.
Luke
The next few weeks I didn't see Michael at all. Maybe he had moved on? Whatever, I didn't care.
I excused myself to go to the bathroom and did the thing I hadn't done since the first day of school... Maybe Michael would come back to tell me that smoking was bad again? No, that's not why, I was just stressed because of schoolwork, it had nothing to do with him.
I didn't miss him at all...
Oh, fûck it, yes I did. Yeah, sure, he was annoying, but that was only becuase he was in love with me. I mean, shouldn't I have been flattered?
Damn it, I should have just kissed him. I'm sure many girls and some guys even would kill to get a chance to. Have you even seen his lips? So thick and red... I blocked the dirty thought I was about to have before it came into my mind. I was straight, and I needed to remember that. If I wasn't falling in actual love with him, it wouldn't help him at all, and I wasn't, so why think things to make myself like him if it wasn't going to help anybody?
I groaned. "Michael, I have no idea where you went, but if you'd come back soon I'd appreciate that."
"Miss me?" Michael said sassily from behind me, causing me to turn around quickly, startled by his voice. Well, at least I didn't scream this time.
"No..."
"I heard everything you just said. Since you're the only one that can see me, I can always hear your voice, no matter where I am."
"Even when I'm..."
He chuckled. "You betcha."
I felt a blush arise on my cheeks, so I turned around slightly so he couldn't see.
"Aw, come on Luke, you're adorable when you blush," Michael said, and when I turned around to face him, raising my eyebrows a little, he gulped, looked down, and muttered, "I didn't mean to say that." All of the cockiness he had started off with had vanished, just like that.
I snicker, and he frowns. "You're adorable," I said, on purpose, just to see his face.
His cheeks turned a bright pink and he looked up with wide eyes. "Really?"
I shook my head and put my hand on his shoulder. "Oh, Michael, you still take that as a compliment at our age?"
"Oh." He looked down again, and I suddenly felt bad for saying that. "But there isn't really such a thing as 'our age,'" he said quietly, looking up in thought. "I'm 18. Aren't you, like, 16?"
"Yeah... so? Are you seriously discriminating against me because I'm younger than you? I hate when people do that."
"No, no, no, no, I'm just saying we're not the same age, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it."
I nodded. "Well, I have to get back to class..." I looked at him for a couple seconds, biting my lip, considering...
"What?" Michael asked. I decided it was a good idea, and then I leaned in and kissed him.
Michael
What...
Luke was kissing me. Luke Robert Hemmings was kissing me, Michael Gordon (please don't tell anyone, I hate my middle name) Clifford, on my fûcking lips. Holy shít.
