Luke

I felt so terrible. I took advantage of him and I lied to him, and then I lied to him again when I told him that my first lie was a lie. Not to mention I was responsible for Jamie being not quite alive. I was a terrible, terrible person.

I was singing the song Michael and I wrote together without his knowledge when my mom came in. "Are you okay, baby?"

"Yes, mom. I was just singing."

"Your face is wet. Were you singing in a pool?" She put her hands on her hips.

"No, mom, just... go away."

"Well, now I won't, because that was rude. Now tell me what's bothering you."

I told her the whole story, well not the whole story, but the party. She looked angry, and I was expecting her to yell at me for going to a drinking party, but no. "You kissed Michael? Luke, he's a boy! I can't believe my son is gay!"

"I'm not gay, mom! I like girls, I just... I was drunk." And I like guys too, but you don't need to know that.

"That doesn't mean anything! You still kissed a guy! And he likes you?"

"Yeah, mum, he's gay, what's the big deal?"

"Oh, darling, I'm just trying to protect you. You're not allowed to hang out with that boy anymore, you understand?"

"No! No, I don't. I'll hang out with whoever I want to hang out with!"

"Luke, I just don't want you to get involved in their ways..."

"Mom, if I only made friends with straight people, I would have no friends. Michael is gay, Jamie was gay, even Sara is bisexual and she's not even my friend!"

"Then no wonder you turned out this way."

"It's not something you can change, mom. You don't want me to invite gay people over anymore? Fine then, I'm leaving."

"Does this mean you're gay?" she asked in horror as I started to pack up some clothes.

"No, I'm not gay!" I said for probably the tenth time that week, and ran out the door.

Michael

There was a knock on my door. Looking through the peephole, I saw that it was Luke, so I let him in. "What's up?" I asked, then I looked down at the bag in his hand. "What's that for?"

"Can I stay here tonight? My mom kicked me out for, um... kicking my brother in the balls."

I shook my head in shame and laughed at him. "You are such a little bitch."

"Little," Luke scoffed. "I'll have you know I am 8.1 exactly."

"Ew, you know that's not what I meant." Although that is nice information to have. He smirked.

"I do know, because if it was what you meant, you would be wrong."

"Ooh, you're a cocky little bitch. 8.1 isn't really that big, Jamie told me Sara's last boyfriend's was 9.3." Jamie... I didn't deserve a friend like her.

When I mentioned Sara, Luke tensed up. He seemed... guilty? "What's wrong, Lulu?"

He rolled his eyes at the nickname. "Nothing."
