I wake up and look around at where I am, I must've fallen asleep watching the movie with Evie. I pull the blanket off me and walk over to her bedroom door, I hear music playing softly and guess she's asleep. I check the time and see it's 3am.
I grab my jacket and my cut and head out to my motorcycle.
"Where have you been?" Ice asks as he leans against the bar half drunk with a girl in his arm
"Nowhere." I shrug
"Yeah yeah, you got a girl huh?" He smirks before turning back to the girl and kissing her messily.
"Have fun with that one." I say to the girl as I walk off to my room. I strip down to my boxer briefs and climb into bed. Although now I'm wishing I had stayed with Evie. I don't know where Socket is now, but knowing she's alone and scared doesn't sit well with me. Today was the most time I've spent alone with her and even then she didn't really speak but something draws me to her, makes me want to protect her, and I don't think it's just the fact that she's my club brothers family.
Eventually I manage to shake Evie from my thoughts and fall asleep.
Evie: I don't need you to babysit me today, Cordelia is coming over.
I wake up to a message from Evie on my phone, and I'm kind of disappointed she doesn't need me. Even though she sits in her room and I sit on the couch I like being there for her, that's weird isn't it? I shake my head as I head for a shower and change into clean clothes. I slip on my cut and walk down to the kitchen, the old ladies hang together gossiping as usual and the guys sit eating and laughing
"Morning asshole." Cordelia smiles as I grab some coffee
"I thought we cleared this up?" I ask and she laughs
"We did I'm just busting your balls." She laughs patting my shoulder
"So how many strippers should we get?" Scarlett asks as she sits with Skye and Indigo
"Well there's five of us, so 2 each sounds good right?" Skye replies and I laugh at the looks on Circuit and Knuckles faces
"Not happening." Bullet says firmly
"How many times dude, I spent more of the night grinding on Indigo than the strippers did." Scarlett says
"I know you got a crush on my wife so that's just as bad." Bullet growls pointing at Scarlett
"Oh please, she only has eyes for you and I got the big guy to entertain my fantasies now." Scarlett smirks pointing to Knuckles
"Why do you even need strippers?" Circuit asks
"Because it's my bachelorette party and Indigos will be hard to top but none of us are pregnant and we are all going to have fun. You don't see me getting involved in your bachelor party, you can have lady strippers if you want, I'll just break their fingers if they touch my man." Skye smirks.
These old ladies are some of the craziest I've met even though I've been to most chapters of Broken Demons in the last ten years. They kind of remind me of Lisa, she would've fit in well here and I would've been just as crazy as the guys about her having a bachelorette party like that.
"I don't want guys in their underwear dancing against my old lady." Circuit says firmly
"Oh come on it wasn't that bad, I'll show you." Scarlett says as she begins dancing in front of Skye
"I've died and gone to heaven." Ice says walking through the door just as Scarlett grinds her ass on Skye's lap, Skye whooping and slapping her ass as Indigo, Izzy and Cordelia fall over laughing together.
"Enough." Knuckles says as he picks Scarlett up
"No can do big guy, I'm going out with Cordelia today, maybe later." She says as she kisses him and he puts her down
"I thought you were going to see Evie today?" I ask pulling Cordelia to one side
"What's it got to do with you?" She asks raising her eyebrow
"Well Socket left her alone last night and she was upset, if she's going to be alone today too I'll go sit with her." I reply
"How do you know she was alone last night?" She questions
"Because I saw Socket at Scars and went to check on her on my way home." I reply
"I'm taking Indigo and Scarlett to meet her for some girl talk. You need to be careful with Evie, she's been through a lot, if you hurt her I will kill you." Cordelia warns yet again poking my chest again. She's fiercely protective of the ones she cares about, but that's why she's so perfect as the presidents old lady.
"I'm not going to hurt her, I'm trying to help her feel safe by not being alone while everyone else is working." I reply rolling my eyes
"If she doesn't want me there all she has to do is say and I'll leave her alone." I shrug. Cordelias gaze bores into me, but she doesn't question or threaten me any further.
I spent a few hours helping out in the garage, Socket was right, they are slammed. I've never been the best at mechanics but I know my way around an engine and can fix the basics.
I officially can't get Evie out of my head, I find myself constantly wondering if she's ok. I want spend time with her and I think I more than care about her, but nothing could ever happen because she's scared of men, if I tried to make a move I would be an asshole and she definitely wouldn't want me hanging around after that. Once Killer comes back I'll be back on the road anyway.
I walk back into the bar and find Cordelia, Evie, Scarlett and Indigo sitting in a booth. Evie has her headphones in and that flashlight in her hand. I'm curious why she always has that in her hand or in her pocket, what comfort does it offer?
Indigo gets up and walks around the bar, putting a beer out for me before gathering drinks for the girls
"What's going on?" I ask motioning to Evie
"We're waiting for Knuckles then we're gonna go work out at the gym." Indigo smiles as she walks back over to the booth
"Who's the hottie?" Ice asks as he sits down beside me looking at the booth
"Is that Sockets sister? Dude I thought you said she was fat?" Ice says practically drooling over the fresh meat
"Leave her alone Ice." I warn
"I only want to introduce myself, I can't help it if girls find me irresistible." He shrugs
"She's been through some shit, leave her alone." I warn through gritted teeth. He gets up and I'm just about to pull him back when Cordelia approaches
"Ice you leave Evie alone or I'll cut your dick off." She warns and I believe she would do it too
"Damn, what's the problem?" Ice shrugs
"Ice I'm warning you." Cordelia says with a bite to her voice that would make any grown man nervous at the fate of his favourite appendage
"Fine, fuck." He groans as he walks out. I look up and see Evie looking at me, I give her a small wave and she waves back.
"Sorry I'm late, got held up at the warehouse, you ready?" Knuckles asks and the girls get up and follow him outside.
