What remained of the gladers were gathered around a yard or so from the doors.

Three of the former Builders were bringing Teresa and Thomas, with the latter still pretending to be unconscious, his arms slung over two of the boys necks.

Thomas's body was tossed to the ground as they approached the old fighting ring.

"This is such a waste." Gally re-sheathed the knife he'd been using to scratch the names of the deceased off the wall.

"Gally....it doesn't feel right man," Winston said.

"Yeah, what if Thomas is right? Maybe he can lead us home." Jeff implored him.

How many of the others actually didn't agree with him then?
Emma wondered,  glancing at the remaining gladers out of the corners of her eyes.

Gally gestured to the wall behind him.
"We are home. Okay? I don't wanna have to cross any more names off that wall."

"You really think banishing us is gonna solve anything?"

The former Keeper turned to Teresa, who's arms were still being held behind her.
"No. But this isn't a banishing. It's an offering."

The boy who'd been holding her arms back roughly pushed Teresa against a pole, tying her hands up.
"What? Wait! Gally, what are you doing?"

"You really think I'm gonna let Thomas back into the maze after what he's done?!" He yelled, then turning to the rest of the gladers.
"Look around you! Look at our Glade! This is the only way---"
