"Mila, I'm sorry. You now have my undivided attention," she tucked her phone in her bag.

"If you say so," Camila huffed, looking back down at the menu. "So, what are you gonna get?"

"Probably my usual," Lauren replied.

"Me too," Camila folded up the menu, setting it aside before she looked at Lauren.

"I have a soccer game tomorrow," Camila changed the subject

"Great, I'll be there front and center, cheering you on. But you might have to get a ride there and I'll meet you,"

"I think I can go with Ari to the game," Camila mumbled. Lauren nodded. Dinner came and went, but things were obviously a little tense between the two sisters.

That night, Lauren prepared Camila's soccer bag for her game while she was asleep. After that was done, she grabbed her phone once again to text Damian, who, fortunately, was still awake, smiling as she finally texted back. They went back and forth, trying to one-up each other with medical knowledge (like a bunch of nerds) along with various, other stories.

Just as Lauren was about to go to bed, she received one last text from Damian as he asked her out for dinner. Lauren's face turned red, heart beginning to pound.

"I'd really like that," she agreed, pressing 'send,' holding her phone close to her chest with a dopey grin on her face.

The next morning, Camila woke up and realized it was a little later than when Lauren usually woke her up, but not too much that she would be late for school. She went about her morning routine, getting ready for the day before she went to see Lauren. The older girl was sprawled out in bed with her phone on her chest. "Lo," Camila poked her to get her to wake up, which proved effective as Lauren sprung awake.

"Morning, Mila," she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes.

"Hey, we're gonna be late," Camila pointed to her alarm clock. It took a millisecond for Lauren to fully awaken at her sister's words.

"Frick!" Lauren threw on her scrubs, going about her morning routine at lightning speed, giving Mila toast to eat in the car.

"Lo? Is everything alright? You seem distracted lately,"

"No, everything's great, Mila. Now, get in the car,"

Lauren got Camila to school on time and gave her her soccer bag

"See ya later, Lo. Love you,"

"Love you, too," Lauren said distractedly, causing Camila to give her a funny look before she ran into the school while Lauren made her way to work.

>>>

Work went by as usual. Damian had snuck up behind Lauren, who was taking down a prescription. "Boo!"

Lauren yelped, turning around to see Damian laughing at his sneaky joke. "Geez, don't do that!" she pouted, playfully punching him in the arm.

"Coffee after work?" he smiled.

Lauren was about to nod, only to realize that Camila had a game. "You know, I would love to have terrible coffee with you, but my sister has a soccer game tonight and I promised her I would go." she sighed dejectedly.

"No biggie, uhh mind if I join you?" Damian asked, surprising Lauren.

"That'd be great, meet me after?"

"Of course,"

Camila was on the field, lacing up her cleats as she looked around for her sister, but to no avail. She did, however, notice that Ally, Normani, and Dinah were there to cheer her on. She waved to them as they waved back, before getting into a huddle with her teammates.

A little after the game, started Lauren and Damian walked onto the side of the field where the girls were, Lauren laying out a blanket for the both of them to sit on.

"Lo, aren't you gonna introduce us to your friend?" Dinah quipped.

"Guys, this is Damian, Damian this is Ally, Normani, and Dinah,"

"Nice to meet you all," Damian waved to the three ladies.

"So, are you guys a thing?" Dinah asked, "OW!" "Dinah!" Normani hissed as she elbowed her.

"Geez," they all just sat back down to enjoy the game.

It was half-time and Camila went to go say hi to her sister but was shocked to see she wasn't alone. "Hey, Mila, you're doing great!" Lauren hugged Camila.

"Uh, Lo, who's he?"

"Oh! This is my friend, Damian. He's from work."

"Hi," he waved.

"Hi," Camila waved back shyly. "I'm, uh, gonna head back,"

Camila jogged back to her team, feeling confused. Lauren never told her about him and they tell each other everything. She almost felt betrayed.

"You haven't talked to her about us yet?" Damian asked with a frown.

"Uh, not yet. I wasn't sure how to tell her. I hope you don't mind?" Lauren looked up at the man sheepishly.

"Nah, it's all good," Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Camila running with the ball. "Hey, look," Lauren looked up just in time to see Camila score and getting trampled by her teammates. "Go Mila!" she cheered, as did her honorary sisters.

The match ended with Camila's team winning 3-2, Camila scoring the winning goal.

"Awesome job, nugget" Lauren ruffled her hair.

"Thanks, Lo." Camila looked at her with a half smile.

"Hey, why don't we go get some ice cream?" Damian suggested

"That's a great idea," Lauren jumped at the opportunity.

"Can Mani, Ally and DJ come too?" Camila didn't want to be a third wheel.

"Yeah, of course."

"Ice cream? We are in!" Dinah dragged Mani and Ally to the car.

"You are a child, Dinah Jane" Ally remarked sarcastically.

Camila rode with the three so she wouldn't get caught up with the two love birds. She had to admit she hadn't got to know Damian, not trusting him in the slightest. The fact that he was stealing her Lolo from her was a big, fat, no no.

They sat at a booth a the ice cream parlor while Damian and Lauren sat a table for two. Camila couldn't focus on her banana split as she just kept glancing over at them. Lauren looked happy, she'll admit. 'I'm the only one who makes her smile like that,' Camila thought sadly.

"Earth to Mila," Normani snapped her fingers in her face.

"Huh?" Camila blinked and looked at the three girls in front of her.

"You seem distracted," Ally smirked.

"What, no I'm not," Camila took a spoonful of ice cream and shoved it in her mouth.

"Look, Lauren still loves you. No need to be jealous,"

"I'm not jealous," Camila crossed her arms, rejecting the idea. But somewhere in the back of her mind was telling her that they were right about that fact.
