When Camila got up, she felt under the weather. And by under the weather, she meant that she was figuratively buried into the ground; it was that bad. The only person she knew who would help her feel better was her sister, her rock, her best friend, the person who has taken care of her for 11 years. Camila huffed as she stood at the doorway, jealousy clouding her emotions as she watched Lauren snuggled up to Damian. She wanted to be cuddled by her sister so that she could feel better. Not caring that her sister was in the arms of another, she snuck to Lauren's side of the bed, sliding under the covers as she hugged Lauren's back, slowly succumbing to sleep.

Damian woke to the shrill of his alarm going off. He silenced the device, rolling over to see Lauren's back turned to him. He kissed her head, quickly noticing her hugging Camila. He smiled and snuck off to the bathroom. Mornings for him usually consisted of going out for a run, so that's what he intended to do just so that he could give the girls a little space. After getting dressed and taking what he needed with him, he put his earbuds in and headed off into the streets, shuffling the songs on his playlist.
The first song to pop up was 'You Got a Friend in Me' by Randy Newman from the film "Toy Story", a soft smile coming to his face as he continued to run.

Damian sat on the couch with his brother, Marco. The two just started watching Toy Story for the 5th time that week, and needless to say, it was their favourite movie. Marco was in the middle of quoting one of the more famous lines of the film. "To infinity and beyond," he cried, only to break out into a coughing fit. This worried the older brother as he quickly helped the boy into a seating position, rubbing his back. This was the second time that he burst out into a fit of coughs during the movie, and Damian knew something was up as he grabbed his car keys, helping his 5-year-old brother into his car seat as the duo rushed to the hospital.

Lauren woke up shortly after her boy left. She stroked Camila's hair out of her face and noticed the heat radiating off of her. This concerned the older sister as she swiftly so she grabbed the thermometer to check. A fever.
"Oh, nugget you really outdid yourself with the 101° fever." Lauren sighs.
Camila groaned, waking and sitting up on the edge of the bed. "Lo, Can you help me back to my room?"
"Sure," Lauren nodded, helping her sister over to her bedroom as she laid the girl down in bed, wrapping her up in her comforter before departing to the kitchen. Lauren knew that she had to work a night shift, and she was not looking forward to it. She liked her sleep, but she opted to switch with a coworker. Just as she sat in her thoughts, Damian came through the back door and smiled at his girlfriend.
"Hey, you're back," she smiled at him.
"I am, what did I miss?" Damian asks as he takes a generous swig of water from his bottle.
"Well, Mila has a fever," Lauren replied. "I'm going to get started on some good ole fashioned chicken noodle soup," she adds as she put a pot of water to boil.
"Oh, is she gonna be alright?" The man asks, concern in his tone of voice.
"Yeah, she'll be fine. I'll just drop her off at Ally and Mateo's place later,"
Damian frowned. "Wait, why?"
"I have to work a night shift tonight, so I won't be here to take care of her." Lauren laments as she started chopping up vegetables for the soup.
"You know, there's an easy solution to this problem."
Lauren pauses what she's doing. "I'm listening?"
