Chapter 2: Bolt And Crystal

  Bolt ran out of TCRI before the turtle could follow. She ran into a dark allyway and took off her mask. She caught her breath and finally she went on the rooftops and started to run again. She stopped when she reached a small brick building. She jumped onto the fire escape and faced the window. Bolt knocked on the window twice, then paused, then three more times. A girl opened the window. The girl had light blue eyes, brown-ish blackish hair with a teal highlight going though it in a ponytail. She was wearing a white hoodie, black shorts, white leggings and black boots. "What took you so long! I was starting to get worried!" The girl said. "Sorry Crystal." Bolt said back. "I have been waiting right next to the window listening for the knock. I didn't want to leave you out there all night. So, how did you do?" Crystal said to Bolt. "One of them spoke to me! I'm pretty sure he is one of the good guys so that means the rest of them are too." Bolt said to Crystal in excitement. "Wow, what do they look like? Well, besides them being giant ninja talking turtles." Crystal asked. "I managed to get a picture of them with my camera. After I took the picture the one with the orange mask saw me." Bolt said showing the picture to Crystal. "Wow, they have weapons and everything!" Crystal said. "I know, isn't that cool? I wonder how they ended up like this?" Bolt said. "Well, mutagen would turn them into giant talking turtles if they were normal ones but why are they ninjas?" Crystal wondered. "Maybe they watched too many cheesy ninja movies when they were regular turtles." Bolt joked. "Hey Bolt, do you want to stay over here tonight?"  Crystal asked. "With your parents around? No way! What if they see me? If they weren't here then I would love too." Bolt said. Crystal sighed. "Well, I don't want you to sleep in that creepy old warehouse!" Crystal said. "Crystal what's wrong? You and I both know that warehouse is perfectly safe and no one in there right mind would even go in there. What's up?" Bolt asked worried about her freind. "Well, I don't think you should know. You might get scared or nervous." Crystal said. "Crystal, I fight the kraang, climb buildings and protect the city for a living when I am only 14 years old. I think I can handle whatever you're going to tell me." Bolt said confidently. Then, Crystal and Bolt heard a 'pitter patter pitter patter' at the window. A shiver went down Bolt's back as she looked at the window to see raindrops pouring down from the sky. "Is that what you were going to tell me?" Bolt asked Crystal. Crystal nodded. "Are you sure you want to go outside in the rain? You can just stay here until it stops." Crystal said. "No, I got it. I'll.....be.....fine. Just ......fine." Bolt said taking deep breathes, "It actually reminds me of how we met."

FlashBack:

Bolt started to run out of the TCRI laughing as she was being shot at by the kraang in the middle of the night. "Can't catch me slowpokes!" Bolt said running into the rain. The kraang followed behind her shooting her but missing. Bolt ran as fast as she could still laughing and sticking her tongue out at the kraang droids. "The one known as Bolt will be shot by kraang unless the one known as Bolt comes with kraang." A kraang driod said. "Not in your creepy little dreams!" Bolt laughed as she ran. She wasn't even paying close attention because crashed into someone. "OW!" The person said looking up at Bolt. The girl's brown-ish black-ish hair was drenched because of the rain. Her eyes were filled with terror because she finally noticed the shooting and robots with brains in their chests, and very identical men running at them. Bolt grabbed the girls hand and started running again. When they reached a safe corner the girl turned to Bolt. "What are those things!" She said. "The kraang. Sorry I got you into this. What are you doing in the middle of the night anyway?" Bolt asked as she checked the corner to see if the kraang were still there. "I was just taking out the garbage when I heard noise. I thought it was just a stray cat or something!" The girl said. "Well, I don't blame you. New York is full of them!" Bolt said turning around and started to walk the other direction to see if she could find another way around. Then, an kraang droid came and was about to grab Bolt when Crystal screamed, "LOOK OUT!" And grabbed an old bat and whacked the droids head of with it. The kraang droid's squid brain popped out and scurried away. Bolt looked at the girl with amazement. "Wow, thanks!" Bolt said. "Um, your welcome I guess. I don't know what came over me. I just grabbed this bat stickin' out of the dumpster and whacked the robot with it." The girl said. "Well, whatever you did thank you for doing it. My name is Phoebe by the way." Bolt said. "Crystal" The girl replied.

End Of Flashback

 

Bolt stepped out into the rain and put on her mask and hood. She slowly took her steps getting more and more wet. She shaked knowing that she was already wet and soon she will be drenched.
