This poem was inspired by the pretty collection by JuliDey5 "Meditation Upon Sunflowers." This poem is dedicated to him, as a thank you for his friendship, kindness and support of my work.

"I love your shine,"
He spoke to her in
Admiration, watching
Her stand through wind
Or rain, she did not find
Herself bowing to it. Only
Danced with her hands in
A flourish giving thanks to
God for another day of life
Blessed with beauty the sun
Had grown envious of, she
Was full grown, people said
Most beautiful, vibrant in her
Golden silks, yellow gowns to
Stand out in a crowd. "Come to
me, I will never pull you like all
those boys at a park, boisterous
Grabbing the ground with unworthy
Of the nature hands, they care not if
One is pure, kind and has a good heart."
